Weak SAF team. But we will find ways of screwing it up. Franklin is surprisingly turning out to be a bit of a clutch player.

Cant believe that there is actually a book !!

Protea fury at ‘chokers’ book

November 15 2012 at 11:39am
By Patreick Compton and Iqbal Khan

Former South African captain, Shaun Pollock, was taken aback on Thursday when told that his picture appeared on the cover of former cricket writer Luke Alfred’s new book, the sarcastically titled: “The Art of Losing: Why the Proteas Choke at the Cricket World Cup”.

Alfred, the former sports editor and cricket writer on the Sunday Times, joined Cricket South Africa (CSA) earlier this year as a member of its communications department.

The publication is being seen as an embarrassing own goal for CSA.

His latest book details South Africa’s failings at the Cricket World Cup since their debut in 1992, and attempts to explain why they have never won a knockout match in the competition.

The SL version should be coming out soon too I guess :iqasim

NZ 59/2 in 16.3 overs

Slow and steady - how is the pitch playing?

NZ have got a chance to win the ODI series and create history.

Great partnership this.

Shame about the slow start we got.

You guys should have played this batting lineup in the test series :D 147/2 after 31 overs is already more than they managed in each of the first innings.

Williamson is class. Been following him right since his debut test hundred against us.

McCullum does what he is used to doing, scoring a pretty 10 and getting out. Useless captain if there ever was one

What a terrible decision by Aleem Dar. Absolute stinker.

Lucky DRS is in use here.

Franklin celebrates his 100th ODI with a golden duck.

NZ need to be careful not to get bowled out here.

Tsotsobe would have been a household name only if he had an easier name to pronounce:D

McCullums retarded knock has really messed up our innings. His brother the bowler will probably bat with more brains.

Williamson cramping up too.

NZ Fan: "Looking at the state of affairs, it seems as if NZ could not believe that they were in such a good position and thinking it was their day, tried to overshoot the realistic 280 to try and make it 300+..Greed has never got anyone anything except despairing realisation. Ill timed hitting by the Lower Middle Order..Needless, accumulation would have served the purpose till the 44or 45 over."

Sums them up.

Nathan McCullum > Brendon McCullum.

South Africa have pulled this back somewhat, they will be happy if they restrict them to 250

Nathan McCullum although somewhat of a bits and pieces cricketer is very handy man to have in these situations.

Gritty knock by Williamson here. Cramping up badly with each shot he plays.

Darn, singles aren't cutting it for them. Need some boundaries NZ.

Nathan goes. Williamson, it's up to you to crunch some, son.

I recall Williamson cramping badly after scoring a ton against Bangladesh in the 4-0 series defeat too. Ditto Ryder on many occasions.

Food for thought for the physio there.

245-8, poor bowling by SA to be honest, Williamson has got a tramp why not bowl yorkers? He aint gonna slog

And it isn't Kate Stalker anymore, pity. :p

One ball in the over remaining. Smash it Kane.

.....or take a single instead. Which he does.
