We should realistically expect 400-425. Anything above would be a bonus considering the brittleness of the batsmen to come.

the first innings average is here is 288 - so whatever we get we should be well placed.

That is fine it depends on whether it hit him in line and whether it was going on to hit the stumps? Pitching outside off is well within the rules.
 
its ok for the ball to pitch outside offstump, however once it pitches outside legstump, there is no chance of an lbw.

The rules state that if it pitches outside the line it shouldnt be given, although umpires do still give them kind of decisions. It probably would have hit the leg stump yes id agree with that.

No Raz, the rule is if it pitches outside leg stump it shouldn't be given. Outside off is well within the rules. THe two things to look at are whether it hit within the line of the stumps and whether it was going on to hit the stumps.
 
Raz, the pitching outside the line rule only applies to legstump. It doesnt matter if it pitches outside offstump

tony coier himself just related the story of adam's holding up play for a long time in order to get some stitches on the field, and he wants akmal to get off the field as soon as possible !!

yea ... rana was used to play hockey till in his early 20s and then he realized that there was no future in hockey and started playing cricket thereafter, I heard him say that during one of his quick interviews off the field .... when someone asked him about his late debut
 
You gyus remember Shabbir interview on CricInfo? HE said he use to be a batsmen so we still got him :p
 
why doesn't kamran retire already? remember he can't just stay off the field in the west indian innings, he needs to keep.

To me he looks very uncomfortable out there, he may aggravate his injury.
 
Rana should go for his shots. Hes not luking comfortable when defending.

is the ball keeping low, or is rana totally out of his depth out there?

Consider my previous post as a professional opinion. I am a medical doctor. These things can get bad, he needs an ice-pack.
 
Thet are trying to injure our layers, good move by Rana, we need him as a bowler

Just imagine if it had been Ambrose that had bowled them deliveries to Kamran and Rana
