Sami - Started well but was soon back to his best. Sprayed it around. Didn't get any significant movement off the pitch. Had Sehwag dropped of his bowling by Taufeeq at third slip. Other than that gave the batsmen plenty of opportunities to hit freely both sides of the wicket.
Rana - Was looking for pace from the start, not swing. Wayward. Too often gave Sehwag the chance to free his arms. No swing on show.
Razzak - Better than the two above. Bowled well to Sehwag in patches but also gave a four ball a little too often. Still kept it relatively tight (just less than 5 an over).
Kaneria - Best bowler on show. Good control again, got some turned and mixed it up. Picked up the only wicket and had Sehwag dropped by Younis at slip. Should concentrate on the middle stump line rather than off to make Dravid and co play him more often than not.
We have a lot to improve upon tomorrow.

Nakhuda said:As predicted by many not much play was possible today and when they eventually started India dominated from the start ripping Pakistan's pathetic attack apart.I've never liked Mohammad Sami as a bowler cos he never gets any swing despite the overcast conditions though i'm not suggesting he be dropped for we have no one better currently available.Rana and Razzaq struggled just as badly making Danish the only bowler to have walked away with any credit. Why oh why is it that we drop the simplest of chances like Veeru was let off the hook twice and now stands about ten runs from another breathtaking ton.Sorry folks if you don't take catches then you don't deserve to win but what dissapoints me evenmore is the dismissive body-language of our players after missing a sitter or i wonder if they're still getting paid by bookies for doing this!.With Saurav,Laxman and Sachin still too come its not looking good for our boys. What they need is a serious kick up the backside so Bob Woolmer lets get started buddy.. |-J

Firstly, I don't drink Pepsi! I hate it! It's all about Coca Cola!
Secondly, am I wrong? The best we can hope for is a draw and the greatest chance of that is IF it rains.
For the first time in my life I have seen that India have a better bowling attack than us!
feather said:I wasn't exactly comparing them but giving a reason to why we just have had a bad day!
For me it wasn't just the bowlers fault because they did try lot of things and didn't really matter where they were putting the ball because it was being smacked around everywhere. As few of you already have said that he is better than Afridi than we shouldn't all be that much suprised on why we had such a bad day. After all he was dropped twice forget him imagine Afridi being dropped twice in a ODI or even a test match ofcourse he'll create hell for any bowlers as he has done in the past and so has sehwag
I am still hoping for the best tommorrow though and hoping we can draw these test some how and the fielders need to hold on to these easy catches.

One difference though. Afridi hit out against the old ball in a one day match (end overs). He did very well but then runs are expected at the end.
We got DESTROYED bowling with the new ball in a test match!
Yes I get your point we need to work hard tomorrow and be more disciplined in the field.

You have got what you wanted a dynamic team who all play for each other with no superstars or for that matter anyone with any talent. They aren't being distracted by going out to nightclubs (because obviously that is intrinsically evil to you uneducated morons with backward views) and they are being coached by a white man (gasp! wow a white man is coaching us, never mind his dodgy credentials we must all bow to his superior judgement)
JC said:Gee do you reckon? I think we might all miss him more when India are 700 for 2 at stumps tomorrow.
Although I realise my opinion is in a minority shared only by educated and intelligent cricket commentators such as Imran Khan, Mushtaq, Intikhab Alam etc etc
While you Shoaib haters are in the majority of deluded backward and ignorant and led by Freemason Bob who obviously has the best interests of Pakistan at heart.

really i can't think of any solution except for changing our ***** Coach!
feather said:Marooned how dare you question our intelligent friend? I mean he is one of the only view intelligent people who have come to PP lately and if our intelligent friend keeps that up he will be in our intelligent list of folks here on PP.
pak_all_the_way said:i had to go uni today and my mate whos indian sed you been watching cricket with a smirk on his face.

our team failed for ONE day. we shud change the COACH, CAPTAIN, BOWLERS, FIELDERS, PHYSIO, SWEEPER, GATEKEEPER, TICKET MASTER, AND THE PRESIDENT.
no doubt about it. it has to be done
