Only we can stop an England vs India final

SA have choked again and India will crush Bangladesh.

Can we win vs SL and then England to get to the final.

Close fought game like WC 2007 T20, India to win in the last over and all hell break lose on PP
 
I wont write BD off so easily, they are dark horses of this semis and perfectly capable of making an upset

LOL. You know already that India will win....last over or not. Joke team cant win against 1 opposition in 1000 tries.
 
The only way to beat England is to meet fire with fire attacking bowling to get England 3-4 down before 50 then you can hope to get the rest out before 200

If that doesn't work Pakistan need to make 335 atleast.

But first we need to try and beat SRI LANKA by a strong margin to put out the statement to England
 
Pakistan team has potential. If they can defeat SL tomorrow, then surely nobody would doubt the danger that they could pose for the opposition in a tight game.

Depends, Pakistan can beat anyone on their day apart from India - it's not cricketing, it's mental/psychological where India's concerned.

But the prospect of Pakistan possibly even meeting India will probably start to play on Pak fears before the game even arrives.
 
Stop living in lalaland. We will have to do very well to beat this SL side first. Our batting remains to be tested and our strongest weapon spin will be easily neutralized by SL batsmen. It's going to be a big day for Pakistan tomorrow.
 
some Pakistani posters have completely forgotten the threat our batting poses. It's close to nothing. Bowlers are not going to fire every day on these flat roads and we are not playing SA anymore. Stay close to reality.
 
Srilanka have some exciting young batsmen who were in total control of the Indian attack, which is much better than Pakistan. Srilanka will send Pakistan home tomorrow, unless Azar and dot ball hafeez is dropped.
 
After watching this SA pathetic performance, I don't rate Pak team as good team. We should not be happy, we don't have world class bowlers. Also we have weak middle order so it will be a miracle if we win against SL.
 
Reading some of the threads in this forum one would think Pakistan was ranked the number one/two/three in the world while Bangladesh or Sri Lanka are ranked eighth.........

Yes cause that 5 point gap is soooo massive.

Take a chill pill this is PAKpassion so the passion at times can go to high levels but thats why we are pak supporters.

Bangladesh luckily got to the SFs they need to beat India to show they can do well against top sides away from home.

Sri Lanka are hard to predict, sometimes you ask yourself why you ever doubted them and sometimes you think that there is a long rebuilding process ahead for them.

So it's okay when passion runs high for pak supporters but when Bangladesh fans behave same they are automatically worst.

Pakistan has to first beat SL. Don't take them for granted. They are capable of posting a 300+ score.

Easily neutralized by SL who have the lowest run rate against spin after Bangladesh amongst all test playing nations.

Yeah ranking sure play a part in the match that is why number 8 ranked beat number 1 ranked, or number 7 ranked beat number 2 ranked.

Ha ha. Bangladesh barely ever manages a second good performance in a tournament. The moment they manage one surprise win, they celebrate and party so hard that they soon run out of juices.
 
This is England's tournament to win. Even if we beat Sri Lanka, I'm pretty sure England will defeat us.
 
I'd like to see Pakistan play with some passion, big game against Sri Lanka tomorrow, need to focus on that first, don't think too far ahead.
 
England are ridiculously good, but the chances of us causing an upset here are greater than what our chances were against Australia in 2015 quarter-final.

How many upsets can Pak cause in 1 tourney?
 
England India final would be the better spectacle tbh. Probably not as much hype, but there's too much of a risk of a final ending after 1 innings with Pakistan involved (i.e. a collapse while they're batting first or anything above 300 by India batting first).

No one can stop England. England will win the CT. Too powerful batting line up, plus at home. I won't mind England winning as it's my 2nd team.

I don't think so. India will be on flight back to Delhi. Bangladesh will get the ultimate whipping from us in the final.

People are seriously under-rating our pace trio. The best thing for Pakistan is that not too many people are rating us against Sri Lanka. Calm down everyone, have faith in your team. We are going to win this. Our turn to take it now.
 
Bangladesh is the only team that can realistically stop that event from happening. They'd need to play exceptionally well and a lot of luck in the field, but they have a better chance than either Sri Lanka or Pakistan beating England.

Pakistan is the only hope against this fire breathing new dragon that is the English batting line-up.
 
Pakistan and England are birds of a feather. You never know which one of them will turn up on any given day.

That semi-final will be a lottery.
 
Yes I already called it in one of my posts our spinners will rip through the English line-up at Cardiff.
 
Should be a refreshing match up. Fiery bowling line up against a fiery batting line up. Mouth watering prospect. Best game of the tournament!

dumb in what sense? The stadium will be full and ICC would get their share of sponsor money. ECB will get their gate money. The cup would remain in Asia.

May be dull instead of dumb? That is also hard to say, because the teams are really close on strength and could produce a classic finals.
 
Let's hope we bowl them out for 101, then our batting line up should be able to knock those off without too many scares.
 
Any team that can stop England in semi final is Pakistan

Despite today's pathetic batting display by Pakistan's middle order, I still have reason to believe, it is Pakistan who can stop England or any other top team knockout stage such as upcoming semi final. I am pretty sure England camp would love to face Srilanka or other team instead of Pakistan.

Pakistan's unpredictability is the biggest headache for any team, except India (unfortunately for some strange reason).

Pakistan bowling unit has transformed into a real force, another low score by opponent would bring Pakistan back in business :)
 
We need to do something about Azhar and Hafeez. Babar has been a disappointment but he deserves a longer rope due to his age. But please just do something about this top 4, that has suddenly started to rely on a batsman playing the second match of his career.

Disappointment in what exactly? The guy averages 52+ for God's sake with a good strike rate. What are people expecting him to do with Azhar on the other end? Reserve your judgements for when he bats with capable batsmen on the other end
