Apart from it's long endurance of up to 14 hours or 5000 km range, the Wing Loong-1 UCAV can carry a wide variety of weapons.

Operational capabilities:

-border management
-Anti terrorist action
-Policing the western border - smugglers
-Anti-state elements
-Covering a wide barren area of Balochistan
-Night time capabilities

The electro-optical payload pod, fitted under the forward section of the fuselage, is integrated with day light and infrared cameras and sensors to collect surveillance and targeting data in both day and low-light / night conditions.

" … The drone has the ability to perform combat operations and … civil tasks such as disaster assessment, meteorological operations, and environmental protection."
The UAV is also equipped with synthetic aperture radar, laser designator, forward-looking infrared (FLIR) camera, as well as electronic countermeasures.

soon it will be our drones vs US and Indian drones :)

Warfare via PS4 consoles.

Where are these drones going to be deployed? I can't imagine drones ever being used by Britain on it's own territory.

Our? I can't see Pakistan in that? Its like China off-shore.

India doesn't have drones

India will have US off-shore UAVs in coming months.
they signed $2 bill contract with US only for drones.

Soon each Pakistani and Indian citizen can have their own drones and start fighting each other :)

Pakistan used their Air Force to bomb FATA and Waziristan during operation Zarb-e-Azb so it’s not unreasonable to assume the next time such an offensive is launched they may use armed drones.

Whatever happened to the Pakistani copy of the American predator drone that they were building few years ago? DW44

You can see the indigenous design various times during the video, most notably at 3:48

India has both Israeli and now US drones.

I think he means UCAV's, most countries now have drones but very few deploy UCAVs. I don't think India deploys any UCAVs as of now but are close to fielding some.

That's what I was thinking. It's a strange state of affairs when your military hardware has to be deployed on your own territory, but then that's what comes of having semi-autonomous regions. It is hard to imagine it in the west, but in Asia it's not unheard of. You could probably draw a comparison with India's internal war with the Tamils.

Aray yaar that is the Burraq... I thought you meant they built a drone which was a copy of the US Predator drone

It includes tech from a relatively intact crashed predator they picked up in FATA. My brother in law works in R&D for PAC who helped Nescom with the development of Buraq. By copy I wasn't referring to a reverse engineered, like for like version a'la Tu-4 and B-29 or J-11 and Su-27. They analyzed what they had and incorporated some features from the predator into their drone.

Test platorm and not a operational airframe. One crashed in Pakistan in 2016.From the link the OP referred to.

The fact that there is no evidence of additional drones at the base, along with the fact that it is painted white—not the battlefield gray like other, deployed Wing Loong drones—might suggest that it is a test platform, not an operational airframe. This would not be the first time that a Wing Loong prototype has been sent to Mianwali; a drone that appeared to be a Wing Loong I crashed during an experimental test flight near Mianwali in June 2016.

If Pakistan had deployed a UCAV it will be all over the news

^ well this "test platform" is just a speculation. we have done enough tests in last 3/4 years.
btw , pakistan was asking for Wing Loong II.
so maybe they gt the delivery now.
thre are many military equipment which PA wont share the detail with media.

So you refer to this link for confirmation of your speculation and then call the stuff posted in that same link as speculation. LOL.

Pakistan can ask for anything, doesnt mean they are getting it or they got it.

So is there any source that says PA deployed a actual UCAV?

when it comes to pakistan, everything is shaddy. its the old and same mantra with you.
you think we pakistanis cant have this tech or what ? or should we ask India first before buying our military equipment ?
I said what the writer said is speculation becoz as i said, we have done enough tests on wing loong-I.
I gve the reference of the site for pics, not for what writer said.
a pic cant tell lie,did you really visited that site or not ? have you seen the pic yourself or not ?
PAF asked for wing loong II which you will find the In-direct reference in post #27 link.

btw we also have burraq and shahpar as UCAVs and they are already deployed.

why you need spoon feeding on everything ?

Your rant wont change a thing.

Is there any reputed source for your claim that PAF has deployed Wing Loong?

The link in the OP clearly states that the pic is of a test platform and not a operational airframe.

So post a reference regarding actual deployment of Wing Loong drones by PAF.

No i am not gonna post the reference about it,
so what you gonna do ? huh ?

Its a simple request.

All you need to do is to back up your claims with references. Thats all

No need to get offended

well the "tone" of Sar Joshila didnt look like some request to me.

bro, i cant give the link of the news as this news still circulating around in PAF, so only PAF can confirm it officially. so it will come to media only when PAF officially said it. i have my inside sources in PAF, its not something as some kind of secret or big news as someone is trying to make it.

this news is already a hot topic in different international defence forums. so its no big secret.
we already deployed burraq and other UCAVs in past.
