Wow!!
Thanks Hash

shehzad ahmed is defo the next best thing. he can score runs all over the world. we need him in our team asap. no point saying he is 16 if he has got the talent he should play. age is just a number.

well done pak academy.

Was talking to a SA guy on another forum he says the SA team is very weak, the real competition will be between Pak and Bang.

What about Khurram Manzoor and Khalid Latif? Both of them are crap?

What about them?

You assumed that since he didnt mention them that he reckons they are crap?

Doesnt surprise me since you are from Karachi. The rest of Pakistan is meaningless to you.

MAN they both have just played one match each...so its pretty unfair to entitle them useless this soon

Dont start Karachi vs Lahore fight guys.

I am from Karachi and I am the biggest fan of Ahmed Shehzad here.

BTW my hope of getting 240 is exactly came true :D.

Theres no Lahore V Karachi fight. I aint from Lahore or Karachi.

Just cant see what other reason "Karachi" found to bring in Khurram and Khalid. They were never mentioned.

Anyway, I personally believe Khalid is Crap and Khurram Manzoor is very talented.

Congrats to Pak Academy team. they are already in the finals.
SA has sent a very weak team. They lost a innings+ against BD Academy in the first match (4 day match, day 1 washed away)
Lost both one day matches against BD and Pakistan.

As a Ex-Karachi guy, both Khalid and Khurram are crap. They are yet to prove more.

Ahmed Shehzad has been superb everywhere :P He is fantastic batman and should be recalled back in Pakistan squad

Can someone please tell me why isn't Asad Ali playing here?! The guy has justified his ability in the recently concluded tournament!!!!

Asad Ali profile: http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/pakistandomestic/content/player/222728.html
Have you even seen him bowl? I have; he's around the 130-135 range with a decent action and a bit of away swing. A little rao-like i thought. He has a ways to go to be consistently threatening.

Here is my views on him ,and pls dont compare him to Rao they are in a different boat.

Seeing Asad Ali bowling just blow my mind away ,A bowling style very much a replica of Darren Gough just he doesnt stop at the last stride like Gough .He was moving the ball on the flattest deck where Samiullah hardly moves it. He is faster than a normal medium pacer and very much close to Wahab Riaz pace ,He is bowling atleast in mid 130s and occasionally at high 130ks.
His armory contain.
Geniune outswing with average control (I think he needs more proper control).
Off-cutter( ALA Asif with same control but not the same movement which might be due to flat track)
Mild leg cutter (Just nag movement.

He is only 19 and certainly much better option than Wahab Riaz and Anwar Ali currently.

^^

Okay, ummm, to summarize what you said above:

Mid 130's bowler who bowls outswing, has some control and the occasional leg cutter. Sounds pretty rao-like to me!

Then it means all the bowlers in the world with above characteristics are Rao's clone? Asif ,Pollock and McGrath are too Rao clones huh? Its all in the mentality and this guy is mentally aggressive unlike Rao so he is already a better option then him (with out any grooming). One more point that this observation is based on FLAT track if you missed that out and I havent seen any type of movement from Rao on flat track.

BTW I haven't seen Rao bowling cutters in any condition:13:

Asif and Mcgrath are seam up bowlers; they don't rely on swing.

Rao, in his first series in Australia, was regularly bowling cutters.

Rao bowled quite well against S.A on flat pitches and he was able to get the ball to move off the pitch.

OK keep persisted with Rao for another ten years we never know he might be the next legend.

forget everyone time to bring Mohammad Aameer in ...
4-21 in 7.4 overs...ahead of anwar ali

he is definately a class player and mashallah our bowling talent continues but we have to handle him and all the other promising bowlers with soft hands. he should be playing in the bang series but once again the selectors are too scared

Bro can you tell us more about him? You say he can swing the ball away nicely! Does he have a good inswinger? And is he capable of reverse swing?!

Most of his wickets have been bowled or lbw! I wonder if he can seam the ball nicely as well?! So is he in Asif style or what?!

Guy definiatly deserves a chance!

Haven't seen him bowl an inswinger or reverseswing(as I have seen him in ODs only) but he can bowls offcutter with good movement even on flattest track. I would say that he doesn't have Asif control but enough control to make use of the moving ball ,plus he is aggressive with intelligent brain on his shoulders as I have seen him setting up a batsman before bowling a marvelous offcutter to knock over his stumps.(in short he knows how to take wickets) wonder how will he be effective on green top :13:

He comes 3rd on my current domestic bowler hit list.

1st Sohail Khan
2nd Muhammad Amir
3rd Asad Ali
4th Najaf Shah
5th Anwar Ali.

No Wahab Riaz?! I don't know much about this guy to tell you the truth, everyone says that Wahab Riaz is pacy but lets see!

I wonder you are saying all these things about Asad Ali, why isn't he getting accepted! He has a impressive record and everything, he should have atleast made it to Pak vs Bangla Academy! Right?! He surely deserves a chance ahead of Anwar Ali!
