Pakistan’s explosive T20 World Cup picks from PSL 2020

I think we could do well be keeping an eye out for the T20 wc picks by seeing who we feel Should be in the squad. We have been starved of a proper explosive line up or an aggressive batting approach in limited overs cricket. The likes of Imam ul Haq were opening the batting against Australia in 2019. Also average picks like Ahsan Ali, likely to go at a SR of 110-130 max. These average picks, batsmen need to be discarded. So far for me, Pakistan’s squad consists of the following names:

1. Babar Azam
2. Azam Khan
3. Iftikhar Ahmed
4. Sharjeel Khan
5. Imad Wasim

6. Mohammad Hasnain
7. Harris Rauf

When you have guys who can play a firebrand of cricket, they why does Pakistan look to draft in Kamran Akmal, Sarfaraz, Ahmad Shahzad, Umar Akmal, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Hassan Ali etc. I guess we need Malik and Hafeez knowing that our guys are a bit shaky.

These 7 names are a big must for me if Pakistan are looking to fight fire with fire against the big sides

I would also add Asif Ali in the list of discarded. The man has been a total disappointment at International level. He often scores 20 off 18 when he apparently ‘gets going’ and that score would include maybe 1 six and 17 miss hits.

I’m open to giving Fakhar Zaman a bit of a chance to see how he fares at this years PSL
