With Pakistan having secured an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series against South Africa, the action now shifts to the final game. Pakistan’s dominant 81-run victory in the second ODI saw a brilliant all-round performance, with key contributions from Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam, and a stellar bowling effort from Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah.

South Africa will be looking to salvage pride and avoid a whitewash, as they face Pakistan in the third and final ODI at Cape Town. Despite strong individual performances, such as Heinrich Klaasen's near-century in the second ODI, the hosts struggled to build partnerships and were unable to chase down the target.

Pakistan, on the other hand, will be aiming to maintain their momentum and complete a dominant series win. With the series already in the bag, Pakistan could make some changes to their lineup, giving opportunities to other players. South Africa will need to regroup, address their weaknesses, and come out strong to end the series on a high note.

The 3rd ODI promises to be a thrilling contest as both sides look to finish the series on a positive note.

Saying that even the first test at Centurion isn't going to be without rain either. It's going to lose a number of overs on multiple days.

No Usman the tailender hack in the team. He should be kicked back to UAE.

I want to see klassen cry again along with that sorry face Jansen.

Make it 3-0 and make them cry.

I really hope it's not rained off, but it probs will be.

I want pakistan to try new combinations.

Ik people hate Usman khan, but maybe try him as an odi opener for just one game, since Abdullah is Avergaing 0 this series 😂😂.

Although in my opinion, Saud shakeel should be drafted as a middle order player and kamran ghulam should be promoted as an opener.

He's way better then Abdullah Shafique and Omair Bin yousaf.

If fakhar comes back, then Kamran is a must at 3 or 4

I am afraid that this is gonna be a washout. Weather is looking pretty bad here.

Weather.com showing 20-40% chance of rain after 1pm. It will not be a washout. Usually SA grounds are well equipped drainage system.

The ideal top 4 for us. But the problem with this is, no firepower in the end if we have Saud and Rizwan after 4. We can still accommodate Rizwan at 5 ( since he is captain, Keeper) but can't afford Saud to bat at 6. At 6 we need someone who can bat with SR of 110-120 not caring about average. He should be given sense of security that you will not be judged on the basis of runs u make but the kind of impact you will have overall, it can be as small as 20(8) or 30 (15).

But the real question is , do we have someone to do this ? I don't think anyone except Haris. Don't suggest Asif Ali please who only feasts 125-130kph trundlers.

why pakistanis are like this. Now they are labelling KG as vivian richards. He will be found out by bowlers soon like other pakistani batters in the past

Yep. no need to hype a player to the moon. KG is a good player and he should focus on batting and we as fans should hope that he keeps on performing.

Weather is gonna spoil the party today I think. That would be so sad. I really wanna see this game on.

Tayyeb at 7 is a waste, Pakistan should look for an alrounder at this spot, shadab or Amir Jamal or any other decent all-rounder in domestic

No i dont think he will bat there mayne higher...we camt have an allrounder in that place if pak are persisting with spinner and three pacers then agha saim and co will bowl 5th bowler quota meaning no need for all rounder

By having an all rounder at 7 with the current set up will make the batting weak. Ideally Arafat Minhas should be at 7 with amir Jamal at 8.

Agha saim are no good enough for fifth option, this combination will be costly for Pakistan in crunch games

USMAN inspite of his t20 failures,he deserves a chance in odis.He was top run getter in champions cup and has a list A average of mere 76

Good news for fans...

The covers are coming off. The roller will be used one more time, and the toss should happen shortly afterwards.

Mohammed Rizwan: "Some moisture under it. We would have bowled first. Every game is important for us. We don't want to lose our confidence. We have three changes. Hasnain is in. Sufiyan is in. We want to be a champion side. It doesn't matter who is out and who is in. We want to win."

Temba Bavuma: "We will bowl first. The wicket might be slow and tacky. Kagiso comes back. One debutant for us in the form of Corbin. We look forward to this. Going forward every game is vital for us."

Abdullah sahib
Tusii chuti karo.
I think pcb should use their head and drop him for test series. He is basically a free wicket on swing with bounce pitches.
