pacers selection day
Actually I am hoping one of Haris Sohail or Babar can score really big (200+) so that they are called to play atleast 1 test
^wait what? Is it a done deal that each teams bats one day?

306/3d - Australia need to score 339 to win.
Chris Rogers out for 0 again)
Got out on 3. It hasn't started on cricinfo yetJust saw it on twitter
I reckon Australia won't even care too much about the result of this game. They'd be more worried about Pup and Smith getting some time out in the middle.
This is why Clarke is middle order only.
So in this match the Australians who have had little match time but will be playing the Test did as follows:
Rogers 0 (1), 3 (5)
Clarke 10 (31), 5 (5)
Doolan 104* (194)
Marsh 0 (3)
That's as good as it could have been for Pakistan.
1) Two of the senior batsmen have hardly scored a run and have faced 6 and 36 deliveries respectively in the middle.
2) Doolan, who is not Test class, has made himself undroppable.
3) Marsh is also not Test class, and has had minimal time in the middle too.
The result is secondary, but the effect of all this on the Australian selection process is terrific for Pakistan.
Then again, having Rahat in the Test eleven is good news for Australia too. They would far rather face him than Junaid or Irfan or Asif or Amir or Wahab - he is effectively at least sixth choice as a fast bowler, and fifth choice for a left-arm fast bowler!
First Cricinfo said that Smith was on the crease and now they changed it into Marsh

And I don't think that Pup's delivery actually did keep abnormally low: I think he just hasn't acclimatised to the low bounce.
It was like watching an Indian or a Pakistani fencing unnecessarily at balls which are on or outside off in Australia or South Africa.
Aus should really win this - all they need to do is score 160 or so off the next 50 overs and then hit out the other 100 in 20.
This a 16 a side match so they can use the better batsmen to save blushes.
So this is how Marsh and Hughes will play against Pakistan? I bet you now they'll be a lot more tentative.Winning a 16 a side match with required declarations after 90 overs is meaningless.
What matters is building proper innings as practice for the tests
So this is how Marsh and Hughes will play against Pakistan?
So you would rather prefer Aus not make an effort to chase down the runs and play casually to a loss?If the bowlers bowl lousy then you hit them.
No need to go in unnaturally aggressive just to chase a 'win'

Don't the innings end at 90 overs? i.e. there's a winner at the end.You mean a draw right?
I'd prefer the batsman don't bat unnaturally.
If they bat all day they can have a go for it at the end but at this point no need to get too occupied with the idea of chasing it down

If a draw is a result, then who cares lolWho knows.
Certain I'd rather Marsh get 100* from 200 balls than 60 from 75
Looks like Marsh is a lock in for the first Test.
lol Aus is going to lose to a pak B team.
Convict is there any room for brother Hughes in the team?

Bet your whole house on a 2-0 win to Pakistan then![]()
Australia, what have you done??
Now we will have to bear Rahat Ali during the first test.![]()
