Pakistan A win toss, decide to bat and then lose wicket on first ball of the day!

Watched first over of zia ul haq, he is a mix of junaid and wahab, a tiny tiny bit of swing, good pace, but a bit wayward. need to learn how to swing it more, tiny bit of in and out swing wont hurt a fly but good pace and bounce.

Mir hamza over on the other hand has more swing, in and out swing, but a bit low on pace, around 130-135kph.

both bowlers are better then our trundlers anwar and tanveer.

WOOOOOOOOWWW, Mir hamza, 3 or 4 out swingers to left hander and then a huge sudden inswinger to him bowled. Watta a bowling by these two.

Hamza is incridible. Great control and swing.

Hamza with an absolute peach. Kept taking the ball away from the left hander then brought it back in from a good length, knocking off his middle-stump.

And Hamza gets another one. This time, brings the ball back into the righty, who gets out plum LBW.

Hamza really is killing it out there. Some brilliant swing.

Ajmal with a one-handed catch. They will be bundled out for under 50 at this rate.

This Mir Hamza is damn impressive! How amazingly he is swinging it both ways! Absolutely brilliant! What a prospect! We still have fast bowling talents! That in swinging delivery followed by the out swinger was a treat to watch! The left handed batsman had no clue and was clean bowled! And then again followed by an in swinger to the right handed batsman and got him plumb LBW!

Zia Ul Haq is good too but Mir Hamza is something special with more control and good line and length comparatively!

hamza is a great swing bowler, its as the commentator said, he is swinging the bowl late, unlike other players like tanveer who swing early on.

Zia looks like our regular domestic bowlers who can't swing it in internationals. Hamza looks like he could swing it both ways on any pitch in the world.

Ahem, can sanity prevail for a moment please ? Are they using the international standard Kookaburra or one of those Pakistani cherries that I can also swing like a banana.

Do anyone of you know how is the new Ajmal looking ?

Watched him in the last match. I felt he was bowling really well but contrary to what other PPers felt, I felt that he was still in the 17-19 degree range. Hasn't bowled today so far. Zia has got 4 wickets, Hamza 2. Kenya are 15-6.

Can we have the speed range of Zia ?

Hamza is in the 131-136 range. Zia is in the 133-138 range. This is all me judging by my experience and by watching them so I may be wrong because there are no speed guns.

Ajmal is all over the place. Bowling wides, no balls, slinging fast bowls as opposed to flighted ones. I think we should look towards beyond Ajmal as an international option now. Sad as that may be.

The one definite good thing about this series is that we've gotten some idea of how the talents talked about on PP and otherwise perform in reality.

Though I could name about 5 players who would've been more deserved selections here, but I think PCB should arrange many more such series in the future so we don't only have to rely on just stats to identify players.

Ahmed Jamal is more like Morne Morkel... Not much swing but relies on his height and pace...

Ajmal looks extremely ordinary. Still getting used to his action. Needs to be more patient and flight it a bit.

Looks like Hamza was impressive as usual. Can't believe I missed it. If anyone gets a clip of him bowling in this game, please do share ? Would like to see how Zia was bowling as well.

Hows zias bowling? Terrible batting or some good bowling by zia ul haq as well?

He has taken 4 wickets so far. 2 were because of good bowling and the other two were because of some atrocious batting. He was swinging the ball at a good clip and was getting some good away movement off the seam. His line was a bit erratic at times and I have doubts about how effectively he'll make the step up into international cricket. He definitely has more of a Junaid Khan look than a Mohammad Aamir.

However, Hamza took two wickets less than Zia, he still looked far more the finished article. He pitched the ball in the right areas and bowled an absolutely brilliant spell with the new ball. Swung it both ways and set up the batsmen perfectly. Extremely excited by him.

Thanks a lot.. I found a video of mir hamza of youtube. He is impressive..gets big swing.

From the Cricinfo report

"Ajmal, who was poor with his line bowling outside leg, wrecked the tail with his two wickets to wrap up proceeding within 21.3 overs."
