Pakistan can take motivation from India in Test heartbreaks

Pakistan can certainly take motivation from neighbours India in Test chasing heart breaks.

Only this year India were unable to chase 208 against South Africa in Cape Town
Then 287 at Centurion

Things did not end here, at Edgbaston India were almost winning chasing 194 but things went bad. And chasing 244 in 4th Test was another heart break, they were 122/3 at one stage.

Chennai 1999 lost by 12 runs
Bangalore 1987 lost by 16 runs
Barbados 1997 couldnot chase 120.

And yet despite all those heartbreaks they did not surrender their love for Test cricket and are Number One in Tests for the past 2 years straight.

Lets not forget India has twice made a comeback at home to beat Australia 2-1 in Tests.

Unknown Australian spinner also got tons of wickets in 1st Test v India in 2017. Pakistan has not lost this series yet.
By the way even 2014 series was 1-1 draw. On that occassion misbah was skipper and we won the first test. 1996 series was also 1-1 draw after doull destroyed us in lahore Test.

Why don't you take inspiration from success of India rather?

Won't it make yourself more successful when you look at success stories rather than taking pity out of others failure?

Because they did not give up neither got demotivated and kept up the fight till the end of the series.

The problem isn't losing the match , the problem is losing the match when you were cruising. This wasn't a rank Turner this wasn't a menacing Aussie or Windies attack of fore . You had two most experienced batsman playing. And exactly what must they learn ? This ain't the first time they have surrendered.

Nah. These things happen if they happen once in a while. Many teams lose from winning positions.

But Pakistan has been beaten from positions and against teams that they should have won in the last 2 years at Pakistan's home where they've had a very good record. That would spell simple - the personnel is the issue. Not mental ability etc. Some of the team members are just not good enough for international cricket.

Well I trust me a mentally strong player can do wonders to a team than a multi talented guy . It's not the quality Pakistan lacks it's the application part which needs a fix
