Pakistan were denied a chance to improve team ranking in the Independent Cup but they managed to do that with the West Indies win

But in tight world cup spots having good hitters will win you matches, that's why Pakistan will not win any t20 world cups for time to come, unless Zaman ends up not being a fluke and improving himself, and if Sharjeel returns or some new hitter low down.

No it would have been difficult as the World XI consisted of players from different countries

ICC release specifically mentioned player rankings as ones that would be effected.

What a baseless prediction. If there is a format Pk may win a cup in again, it is T20. They can score 180-200 (all decks are flat now) - and they have decent bowlers to defend those scores.

Mate, we can't score 180-200 on normal grounds (look at the pulled in boundaries in Lahore), we simply don't have the fire power. Zaman is hit and miss, shehzad, babar, sarfraz, imad, shadab, aren't big hitters. Only malik is the reliable hitter

Disagree here. 180 doesnt require massive hitting - just consistently decent overs with the odd tower. Pak have a solid T20 record and it is their #1 format.

Agree that we defo need more power hitters but I have high hopes that the likes of fahim and yamin can learn to power hit. Also should replace Shehzad with a power hitter. If only sharjeel was cleared he would be perfect to open with fakhar.

The world cup t20 matches are played with similar dimensions. I dont know where you are getting the point that the Lahore boundaries were specially small or something.
