You got Sufiyan Muqeem,Fasial Akram you also have Mubasir who is an all rounder and should have 100% been picked.

Pretty sure Mubasir is injured as he hasn't played anywhere since mid champion's cup. Sufiyan is on the T20 squad. Faisal Akram will be going to Zimbabwe.

Rameez Jr. has put up really good numbers in his FC career so far. Really seems to flight his deliveries and get that big leg break... good test for him to prove he is a good Test spinner prospect.

Good work , barring WasimJ and Khurri who already played for Pakistan, let these youngsters toil in domestice for some time.

Perfect example is Saim & Shafiq who were thrown in National team and their progression took alot of games

Khushdil Shah and Mohammad Hafeez? What? Sarcasm I didn't get?

Think they want Khurram to get overs under his belt before South Africa.

Shame he's had injuries because he looks a thinking and skilful bowler.

Kashif Ali is listed as 30 years old but looks a late starter having only made his FC debut in 2021.

If the management rate him they'll have to introduce him fairly soon before he runs out of puff.

I remember seeing his age in the early 20's when he first came onto the scene in 2021 with that young & exciting Northern squad and looked like it too. Not sure if the profiles are being mixed or something.

This one is 22 years old and I believe he was on that tour to Australia. Looks like there is another Kashif Ali who is a batsmen that is playing in the ongoing QeA as well... so who knows.

Either way, looks like a bowler with some zip but if he truly is 30 already, then there's not much of a runway left for him.

Mohammad Suleman is a good player. his last 4 inning scores are 84, 112, 90 and 2*

He is still out there batting at 11 runs

Kashif Ali has lost some zip compare to last season may be in real life he is 33/34 and hence the reason.

LOL at Haider ali.... another duck for him.

Not sure why is he even there. He does not deserve a place in shaheens.

Well struck 50 for Ali Zaryab though. He is looking solid.

Shaheens 132/4 atm

Shaheens batting have been weakened a bit due to Aus tour selections in an ideal scenario Farhan, Haseebullah and Omer Yousuf would be part of the XI making them stronger

it seemed to me he was trying to extract movement on a helpful pitch and not going flat out some of those dismissals had a Mohammad Asif print on them

93 more needed... these 2 batters should finish the game here...

Whichever selector chose Sulaiman in this game needs a pat on the back. Just 11 FC games from a small centre (Hyderabad) absolutely zero hype and he is playing a potential match winning knock here

Yeah. much better than the likes of Haider ali or Hussain Talat... invest in these young guns instead of mis-fired bullets

1st Four-day match - Pakistan Shaheens vs Sri Lanka A

Pakistan Shaheens won by 7 wickets

Pakistan Shaheens: 258 & 222-3 (53 ov)

Sri Lanka A: 115 & 364 (96.4 ov)

Good comfortable win in the end . Khurram and Kashif set it up with Sulaiman and Zaryab finishing it well .

Hopefully in next games there are some changes Wasim needs to have a go for Sameen while Ahmed needs to replace Rameez in batting I think all incumbents will get another go Huraira needs a score to confirm his place for the South Africa tour though Zaryab has also increased his chances for a spare middle order slot

Shaheens Clinch Victory with Stellar Third-Wicket Stand

Rawalpindi, 14 November 2024:

A commanding 158-run partnership for the third wicket by Mohammad Suleman and Ali Zaryab steered Pakistan Shaheens to a convincing seven-wicket win over Sri Lanka 'A' on the final day at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Suleman's innings ended at 86, while Zaryab remained not out on 83, guiding the Shaheens to the 222-run target in just 53 overs.

The match also highlighted the bowling prowess of Test fast bowler Khurram Shahzad, who, on the fourth day, quickly wrapped up the Sri Lankan innings for an unchanged overnight score of 364, securing five wickets for 70 runs, and accumulating nine for 102 in the match.

The partnership between Suleman and Zaryab was crucial after early setbacks saw Pakistan Shaheens at 32 for 2. Suleman's departure at 190 left 32 runs needed for victory, which Haider Ali quickly chased down with an aggressive 19 not out from just 14 balls.

Ali Zaryab's unbeaten 83 came off 125 balls, complementing his first innings score of 55. His performance earned him the Player of the Match award.

Khurram Shahzad's return from injury has been impressive, with match figures of 4-32 and 5-70, while Kashif Ali also shone with the ball, taking 5-31 and 2-79.

The teams will reconvene for the second and final four-day match at the same venue on November 18.
