Yep. This stuff is beyond understanding. We don't need Umar amin anymore. Why are we wasting a young guy's space for this old guy.
Because 34 is 15 for PCB.

I mean we have Misbah still playing at 50 and Imran Nazir returning to International cricket and Malik who wants to play till he's 150

Why Umar Amin? Umar Amin isn't good enough to play for PK, why is he in the A team? Who are the clowns that pick him. And once found sack them for ever

"Congratulations to Saud Shakeel. It is a great honor to be the vice-captain of Pakistan's national team. Such junior players are being groomed, who have been captaining at the lower levels is uplifting. All the players are talented, all the youngsters are performing well. Whoever gets the opportunity should play well."

Not understanding the logic of having test players in A squad? What Umar Amin and Sarfraz doing in the Shaheen squad?

I can maybe understand if the goal is to give some players match practice because they haven't played Tests in a long time but does your premium fast bowler in Naseem need that?

Baffling decision to put Sarfraz and Amin in the squad too. There is where you put in a WK you are grooming to take over once Sarfraz retires. Amin just sucks, has zero future with Pakistan and literally just was an epic failure against Bangladesh A matches recently. Aren't guys like Faseeh/Minhas the type of guys you want to groom to play for Pakistan in the future? They should be taking his spot instead.

What the hell Sarfaraz Ahmed is doing in Pak Sheheens squad?

PCB is now humiliating him.

Why is Naseem selected in the Shaheens when he is a starter in the X1.

He shouldn't be wasted. He needs to be managed well and protected especially being a fast bowler.

Batters need time at the crease which is a different story.

Not only a player, but it is also an opportunity for Umar Gul to polish his coaching skills by learning some tips from Jason Gillespie

Mehran Mumtaz and Saad Baig's Cricket Journey. An interesting conversation between the two talented cricketers with Sarfaraz Ahmed

Mehran Mumtaz and Saad Baig are two talented cricketers who started cricket from the grassroots level and are showing a bright future due to their excellent performance. Wicketkeeper-batter Saad Baig has captained the Pakistan U-19 team, while Mehran Mumtaz has represented Pakistan Shaheens as a left-arm spinner.

Both cricketers have spoken about their cricketing journey with Test wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed in a conversation for PCB Digital. Mehran Mumtaz says that he was initially a fast bowler but started bowling spin on the advice of the club coach. He has been playing cricket since under-13, and the journey so far has been great. Mehran Mumtaz says that he has played for Pakistan in the Under-19 World Cup; he has also played in the Emerging Asia Cup, in which Pakistan defeated India in the final, apart from Pakistan Shaheens' tour to Zimbabwe and recently to Darwin. They try to do well wherever they get a chance to play. Mehran Mumtaz says that when you play with senior cricketers, you get to learn a lot. Mehran says that the victory against India in the final of the Asia Emerging Tournament is a memorable moment for him.

Saad Baig also describes the win against India in the U-19 Asia Cup as an unforgettable moment for him. Interestingly, both players remember the ICC Champions Trophy, which Pakistan won under the captaincy of Sarfraz Ahmed, and they both say that they also wanted to win the same against India, and their wish came true. Saad Baig says that it is an honor for him to lead the Pakistan U-19 team. His family is very happy to be named in Pakistan Shaheens. His father's encouragement has always been involved in his cricket.

Both of them asked Sarfraz Ahmed that since they have not played for Pakistan yet, what kind of experience and pressure is it? Sarfraz Ahmed gave his example, saying that he also came up through the grassroots level to international cricket and played cricket in stages. Under his leadership, Pakistan won the U-19 World Cup, but he has also played club cricket regularly and has not missed any opportunity to play club cricket. He would advise these two cricketers to believe in hard work and try to play as many matches as possible, be it club matches or any other, because the more matches you play, the more match fitness you will get.

"It is an honor for me to lead the Pakistan U-19 team in the U-19 World Cup 2024." - Saad Baig.

"Beating India in the U-19 Asia Cup was a memorable moment." - Saad Baig.

"There was immense joy after defeating India in the final of the Asia Cup Emerging." - Saad Baig.

"A win against India in the Champions Trophy was on our minds." - Mehran Mumtaz.

"I try to learn from senior players." - Mehran Mumtaz, Saad Baig.

"Try to play as many club cricket matches as possible," Sarfraz Ahmed advises Mehran and Saad.

Update on Sameen Gul:

Fast bowler Ghulam Mudassar has replaced Sameen Gul in the Pakistan Shaheens squad for the red-ball series against Bangladesh ‘A’.

Sameen has been withdrawn from the squad as a precautionary measure and will report to the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Lahore for his post-rehabilitation workload management.
