What's happening with this as I've not heard anything about it? No promotion or anything and it's only a month away. Also anyone know how many matches will be in Pakistan as I'm sure at one point it was rumoured to be 6 or 7 matches to take place in Lahore/Karachi?

Three matches in Pakistan.

Well currently, fans are waiting for the PSL Anthem to drop
The replacement draft is scheduled for after January 28th
As for games in Pakistan there will be 3
2 knock out games in Lahore
And the grand finale in Karachi!

Looking forward to It!
A change of scene, and every game pakistan wins. Should be fun like last year!

The PSL is my second fav t20 league (can't beat a bit of Big Bash) but with a number of players per forming so well, namely Shadab and Hasan, this year could be the PSLs year.

I really hope everything goes well, the country provides adequate security and keeps its enemies in sight. They will be plotting to do something, anything, in Lahore and especially Karachi.

Ultimately, let this be another quality and safe tournament.

Just curious, which anthem did people like more, the first or second? I like them both but i probably like the second better

The enemies are busy catching spy pigeons. We will send a new flock during PSL to distract them.

Both have been good, but the emotional attachment with the second one was much greater as the PSL returned to Pakistan

watch the teaser of 3rd upcoming anthem for this season by Ali Zafar. i bet it will be a blast, i wish i'll be singing it with the crowd in Dubai. :(

Full dress rehearsal for PSL final on Feb 11

KARACHI - The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Tuesday that it will hold a full dress rehearsal of the security arrangements for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final at National Stadium Karachi on February 11.

The PCB, in a letter written to the Chief Minister's Secretariat, stated that the planned dress rehearsal will be keenly monitored by the International Cricket Council, its broadcaster and security consultants.

On the basis of the successful conduct of the rehearsal , recommendations will be made to the Federation of International Cricketers' Association, which will then decide whether or not to allow foreign players to participate in the PSL final, which is slated to be played in Karachi on March 25.

The letter also called a coordination meeting of all stakeholders for February 7 at the office of the inspector general of Sindh Police, where the director security as well as the general manager of the National Stadium will also be in attendance.

“Representatives of the army, intelligence agencies, rangers, the commissioner Karachi, DG protocol, ASF, CAA, DG Health, KESC and other related departments are also instructed to participate in the meeting,” the letter added.

Last year's final, which took place in Lahore, was seen by some as a watershed moment in Pakistan's cricketing history. The game saw several foreign cricketers visit Pakistan under tight security arrangements despite a bomb going off weeks before the match.

Since then, a World Xi side and a Sri Lanka side have also played in Lahore. The PSL 2018 final is seen as the next step in PCB's long-term plan to bring international cricket back to the cricket-deprived nation.

SHARJAH CRICKET STADIUM ALL SET FOR PSL MATCHES
Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

The third Pakistan Super League takes off February 22 with the new sixth team, Multan Sultans, mentored by former national skipper Wasim Akram adding further zest to the format. The other five teams are the Peshawar Zalmis, Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United.

Following the draft on November 12 in Lahore the evenly balanced teams will make for a very exciting competition and it will be difficult to guess who will emerge first among equals.

Sharjah, the iconic venue and the world’s number one stadium in the world for one-dayers, will host 13 matches starting February 28 through to March 4 and then again March 13 to March 16. Over these nine days, March 2nd and 3rd and March 15th and 16th will be doubleheaders. Tickets sales are already doing brisk business.

As the stadium gears for what should be full houses every day the excitement and anticipation this facility generates is palpable.
Commenting on the hosting of this prestigious tournament, the Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Cricket Club Waleed Bukhatir expressed his delight that the PSL had returned to Sharjah.

“The top players in the world congregate once again at the stadium,” he said. ‘For over thirty-five years ever since that historic match between the Gavaskar XI and the Miandad XI in 1981 our aim has been to invite the best of the world to enjoy the magic that makes Sharjah such an epic venue for cricket. Once again, we have 13 games of what I believe will all be too close to call.”

Getting the act together on the spot, Sharjah Cricket Club General Manager Mazhar Khan added that the pitches are being prepared with the T20 in mind and will deliver. “We want the fans to get their money’s worth and ensure that every game is an experience. That is what Sharjah does; it gives cricket that extra boost. And with the top players taking part, the lovers of cricket are in for a great treat.”

The tournament will get off to a start with the opening ceremony at the Dubai cricket stadium on Feb 22 followed by the first match between Peshawar Zalmi and newcomers Multan Sultans.

Among the foreign players drafted into the League are Samuel Badree, Andre Russel, Luke Ronchi for Islamabad United. Ravi Bopara, Lendl Simmons and Eoin Morgan for Karachi Kings. , Shakib al Hasan, Darren Sammy, Chris Jordan and Dwayne Bravo will do duty for Peshawar Zalmi while Kevin Pietersen and Shane Watson will wear the colours of Quetta Gladiators. On the field for Lahore Qalanders are Sunil Narine, Brendon McCullum and Mustafizur Rehman. Multan Sultans bring to bear the might of Kieron Pollard, Kumar Sangakkara and Darren Bravo.
