Looks like Pakistan is finally beginning to take fielding more seriously.

Fielding in the PSL by Pakistani cricketers

Im very surprised to see the high standard of fielding displayed by Pakistani cricketers throughout this tournament. It’s a nice feeling to see the likes of Ibtisam Sheikh, Hasan Khan and Shadab Khan field and dive well. But one fielder in particular, that has caught my eye is Asif Ali. A guy with a very safe pair of hands and an athletic fielder. Mickey should take this guy under his wing and make him consistent with the bat as well. His a fine hitter and an awesome fielder, but needs to add consistency to his batting.

Their is potential to work with in batting. A clean striker of the ball, who will do better on international flat tracks. Deserves a shot in t20s.

Fielding has been sensational, don't know where the praise for it is around here, just unnecessary negativity only regarding batting and pitch excuses etc, the fielding is genuinely a hugely uplifting positive sign.

I feel like the days of Pakistani fielders growing holes in their hands just as the ball approaches them are gone. Fielding standards have gone up astronomically since Mickey took over the national side.

Wouldn't call it a brilliant catch. He did well to catch it on the second attempt, but shouldn't have come to that.

It was a stunning effort, but not out in my view.

They got both the soft signals wrong IMO.

The recovery was impressive but the initial catch was a simple one.

Yeah I guess so, the jump and recovery makes it more dramatic. Either way, it didn't look like a clean catch to me whereas Saif looked to have the ball under control the entire time.
