An in-form, healthy, & contributing Shadab adds a lot of balance to the team. His batting, however, has never really reached a level that can be relied upon. The key to our neighbors recent success is that they have many batting options & people have leveled up their batting - Axar, Jadeja, Dube, & Hardik are not only decent bowling options but they are more than decent as batters which makes the team versatile.

If Shadab does well in batting, we can also have a situation where Nawaz, Saim, Shadab, & Fahim can form a core that gives us depth in both batting and bowling & hence the overall team can compete decently in most conditions.

Lets be honest.

From the current XI, only Agha doesn't warrant a place.

You cut him and bring in a batsman and the team looks much better.

Saim is a very good bowler though, he isn;t too far off the level of our main all rounders, depending on conditions you could drop one of the seamers and also play another batsman allowing Saim to bowl more.
