Just a start for Aussie bowlers as this average speed may get better for them later on but look at the average speed of Pakistani bowlers.

Of course they are quicker than Pakistan bowlers. But I'd like to see average speeds at the end of this Test. First spell for any bowler is always quicker on a whole than many spells across a Test match.

Even Mitch Marsh clocking in past 140kph

Biggest disappointment is shaheen to have the god gifted tall fast bowling physique and then trundle .

Faheem is a ridicolous selection I would have picked wasim jnr

Surprisingly Aamer Jamal is bowling with some serious pace.

In fact he is bowling quicker than Shaheen too, consistently touching 140 kmph.

But the shaheen fans won't accept this. They will mock him and still call him a trundler

Starc not that been so quick but still average speed better than Paks.

This is why Haris decision to not play in the series didn't go well with most of the PCT fans. His pace would definitely going to prove helpful for team Pakistan in putting up more fight against a really strong Australian team.

Aussie commentators were lamenting his 'bouncers' "at that pace" or was it Khurram
That would be khurram

You only 135 to deliver a searing bounce. 135 to 144 is the sweet spot. Average around that range with some skills and bounce and you can really really far.

Pakistan bowlers are low on pace apart from Jamal who worked his heart out and was touching 140+.

Mir Hamza has accuracy but he is not even touching 130kph. His average speed is around 128-129. Not good when you are in Australia.

Shaheen was also bowing around 133-134 until that decision was overturned. He was touching 140 after that. Maybe he needs some confidence to get his pace back.

Playing Mir Hamza in Aus at that pace is criminal , he is toothless so far. And predictably poor bowling by Shaheen as well.

Shaheen bowls at 130 kph , Mir Hamza at 125 kph , Hassan Ali at 130 kph, and Aamir Jamal at 134 kph.it's sad to admit that Pakistan currently struggles with its pace attack in test cricket.

the issue with Shaheen is that he is not locking up his front knee... probably in the back of his mind, he has a fear of messing up his knee again if he puts too much stress on it

So why doesn't he tell the management that he needs rest?

He is the one who should take care of himself not only the PCB.

Look he is hardly bowling at 132 kmph.

i don't think he wants to miss a single game as long as his body holds up. naseem did the same thing

our players get big contracts on biases of their nation's performances and they want to make as much money as possible
because there is no ipl for them so got to earn that bread and butter through other leagues

the onus is on management to rest him or work on his conditioning/mental block whatever it is but if they rest him we might have to call back the fixer asif with all the injuries going on loll

Why is it every time Pakistan tour Aus and NZ we are even more down on pace than usual.

Pathetic attitude. When and where else will you bend your back if not in Australia?

What is the matter with them?

Slow speeds from Shaheen but taken a wicket - mid 130kphs

Good speed and use of variation by the debutant Abbas. Nice change of pace to get rid of Kane Williamson.

And some were insisting that SSA was holding his pace back in Tests to preserve himself for T20's. This couldn't be further from the truth.

Dude is struggling to generate pace. He should have been tested after the World Cup .

Ferguson bowling at 145.5 kph today against Pakistan in the 4th T20I.
