Will Pakistan clinch the series or will New Zealand complete an impressive fightback to win the series 2-1?

Some quotes from Cricinfo:

"It can happen to any player. I am sure he can come good anytime, maybe in this crucial, must-win game."
Pakistan coach Intikhab Alam on Younis' form.

"Pakistan can come back hard on us, so we must be ready for that, but I think there's something left for us as a lot of guys who, I suppose, need to perform on this tour and those who have performed need to do that once more."
Daniel Vettori warns of a backlash

If youre joking im going to come over to your place to personally administer a beating

What the hell!! surely you gotta bat first in conditions like this! looks like they want to chase over 300+ again...

M1 > Junction 11...

As for the toss news New Zealand have won the toss and opted to bat.

New Zealand have won the toss and elected to bat

Hello and welcome to the deciding match of this 3 match ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand at Abu Dhabi. Both the sides have recorded comprehensive wins in this series when they have got the chance to bat first, so it will be interesting to see what happens today. The Kiwis hold the momentum after a fine win in the last game and would be aiming to deny Pakistan their first ever series win in ODIs this year....

NZ have won the toss! hasanb I am waiting for you with my danda ready.

lol...well thats ok since NZ won the toss and not Pakistan

Yousuf rested for Akmal. Again they're just testing team combos in this series.

The logic of the playing XI in the past two games is baffling...

Umar Akmal replaced for Shoaib Malik
Mohammad Yousaf for Umar Akmal yet, Shoaib Malik retains his place

By God :yk has done it, the captain incharge.

Right then...we have to come up with one hell of a bowling performance here otherwise this series is already gone. The toss should never be this crucial in a game...

Then again I wouldnt be saying that had we won the toss

You must keep in mind that the masterminds behind these intricate moves are guys who have neither heard the word 'logic' in their whole lives nor can spell it.
:yk

I had a dream last night that YK scored 89 in 15 balls in just three minutes and Khalid Latif scored 80 in 47 balls in 2 minutes.:|

Okay gotta go study! Good luck Pakistan! :D
We didnt win the toss :( Hope our bowlers have something up their sleeves :D

Ok, who reckons SB will drop less than 5 catches...get your bets in

This testing tactic is a great innovation, I reckon we can show the world the way forward.

They're obviously experimenting before WC.

Great. It will be a great game of gulli danda. :ajmal

Kingsway Park great location for our T20 Gulli-Danda tournament...

Flood-lit with lamposts
Seating arrangements: On grassy banks
Toilets/Washrooms: Not available due to vandalism
Parking Arrangements: Come by taxi (you will probably know the driver)

Na Bhai paisey khud kamao tu barey pyarey hotey hain, :P

Changes that were needed at 1 2 3 never came anything above 220 we will struggle.

If he drops another catch I think Afridi will lose it and attack him with his teeth. :afridi

I hope the opposing team is selected by :yk and :inti We will have a great chance of beating them hands down. :afridi

This is the real test, it wouldn't have really matter if we won the match by winning the toss.

Now that Kiwis have advantage, a win will mean a lot more.

As much as i wanted Pak to bat, i think it will be real challenge to win by chasing against decent Kiwi attack.

I think the experiment will continue during the 2011 WC, it's a great tactic that will always keep the opposition guessing and our players on their toes at all times.

Why the hell did we go again with tuk tuk openers this is a crunch match any one could have opened, should have strengthen the bowling with the inclusion of Rana

Holy crap at your debut date Muhammad; I didn't even know PP on SportsNetwork was up in 2000. :ibutt

You actually think they have a clue what theyre doing...?

You should go to Pakistan more often...youll lose this innocence i tell you.

Enough of this experimenting crap. So loose every game by selecting wrong elevan which even a kaka Mannah from Galli ka Nukkar will tell you and the excuse is ohhh wait we are preparing a team for 2011?

Was actually a bit later than March 2000, PP started up in the summer of that year and I first posted in October, ICC champions trophy in Kenya was on at the time.

LOL. They dropped Yousuf. I just have to laugh. Why not open with Aamer instead of Butt? :)

The whole point of every match for the next 18 months is to prepare the team for that tournament. This sort of forward planning is difficult to accept in our culture but we must change our ways.

The test squad to Australia will hopefully reflect the fact that we are planning for WC 2011.

Any more takers for our tournament?

Just have a question, can we use my TV device in place of Gulli and beat the crap out of it?

I am on my way. In a Taxi. The Taxi driver wants to play too.

Sorry no Uncle Ji's allowed, it's part of our rotation policy e.g.

Rotate uncle ji back to steering wheel and turn the ignition for him

And the WC2011 squad will of course reflect the fact that we are planning for WC 2015. :inzi

Damn it are we not preparing for 2015 already? I thought that was a central part of the rotation policy, Umar was rested in the last game so that he wouldn't suffer burnout before 2015.

Not a good move by dropping Yousuf. That was quite stupid actually. And still no Rana Naved!? Amazing. And they still go with the likes of Butt because he made a slow 50 when we were chasing 300 plus.

Thats what we call long term planning. :D

What the f is up with Haysman....he wishes the NZ batsmen luck as they walk out!!...Waqar points out that this is very biased!!

I am still waiting for the nod of approval from the governing body.

Umar Gul bowling now. Bowled decently with the new ball so far this series.

Waqar saying that he talked to the team before the match and they were heavily geared up for winning the toss and batting...it seems they were not all that prepared for bowling first, all their strategies were aimed at batting first.

Typical...

Did someone tell Younis Khan that it was not that special Amitabh Bachchan double-headed Sholay coin that was being used for the toss

LOL .... what kind of a preparation is that, unless you're absolutely 100% damn sure that you'll win the toss (impossible anyways) ?
