Match starts in an hour and 20 minutes. Looking for a consolation win!
 
I hope the ODI matches start earlier - I won't be up till 1 after school starts again.
 
Noticed how the pre-match thread opening timing has been later and later after each match. The cornered tigers are losing hope. A win here would be useful.
 
Same i think the timing for some of the ODIs are 5 pm in the afternoon here in Mississauga not sure if all are at that time though. Otherwise i think Test Matches should be fine they were at 6 pm last year around and i think they will be around the same timing.
 
only 2 ODI's start at 17:00 EST (5 pm), the rest (4) start 20:00 EST (8pm).
 
I can live with that, can watch or keep up with at least the first innings. Woo.
 
Woah, so they're playing an ODI that early in the morning? Or is there really a 3 hour difference from one part of NZ to another? :O

lol. hopefully Inshallah we can pull off a win today. I dont want anything over 150 to chase if were batting second. But if we are batting first then we should look to score atleast 170 if not more. Need :afridi to fire in the inital powerplay overs
 
A loss here may add fuel to the fire and hopefully some more pressure will be build to demote Waqar to a bowling coach/consultant and a last warning to Afridi if he wishes to retain the helm.

So yeah, there are pros and cons of consolation win and a well deserving loss.

i hate their Ads really hate them especially like right at the end of the over, the same ones.
 
i just hope that it's not on sky sports extra because i will watch on my dreambox :akhtar

SK kaisi glory kahan ki glory.Supported these guys through fixing and collapses without thinking twice but for the first time I have to admit I am on the verge of joining Oxy.On tuesday I went to bed at 9am thinking that was the last time I watch pakistan play.
I know it will be hard to keep away.I am already tempted to watch it tonight.

Hello and welcome to our coverage of the third and final T20 between New Zealand and Pakistan in Christchurch. Pakistan will bat first.

Afridi: "Pitch is good. Looks pretty much dry. It's dead grass on the pitch. We'll try to put a good total. Abdur Rehman and Tanvir Ahmed are playing in place of Shoaib Akhtar and Umar Gul. I'm not opening, will bat around No 5 or 6."

Taylor: "Adam Milne gets another opportunity. Does not look like a track for two spinners. This ground is similar to Eden Park with the angles."

Take out all the Sohail's in that sentence and you have your answer.
 
So basically we went with 2 pacers minus Razzaq and 3 spinners
 
So Tanvir and Razzaq will be opening the bowling for us.I am staying up,cant miss this fearsome prospect.
 
I disagree with playing tanvir ahmed as he should be kept as a surprise for test matches

Taylor disagree with afridi in bowling first and relying more on pace.

maybe he pulled a fast one on afridi in last game on a flat wicket.

Afridi look nervous saying sohail ahmed instead of tanvir ahmed.

Afridi had enough of opening and back to no. 5

Akhtar should have been including for his pace and s.tanvir instead of tenvir ahmed
 
Hope the team has enough sleep nt like razzaq the other day Yawns whilst batting lol

If you are busy or have other commitments and so can't watch / follow - that's perfectly natural.

But to be free, have spare time, and then deliberately choose not to follow or even know the score - that's VERY unnatural behaviour. :p
 
so we have wahab and tanvir to open the bowling and then razzaq and spinners, well good decision caption (that was sarcasm).
