Any news on who is going to show it here in Europe? I guess in PK it will be Ten Sports and PTV.:inti
 
Who is going to be showing Pak v Aus series?

Any details on this?

Or as most times it will be decided and done as lastminute.com.

I would think that both series would be shown on Sony Max but PCB as per usual leaves this last minute lol, so who knows for sure.
 
Ever since Sony bought out Ten Sports, who own the rights for Pak homes games in UAE, Sony Max have shown the games in the UK. Same for Sri Lankan home series. Don’t think it will be any different this time around. Will be very surprised if Sky showed it.

PCB is a joke when it comes to distributing tv rights. They need some employed on the media side of things who deals with this. The amount of fans who don't know which channel is showing the game whilst the game is being played is immense. Backwards PCB still living in the dark ages!
 
Sky tend to stay away from Pakistan series because of the PCB messing people around and leaving stuff to the last minute.

I have just seen an advert on sony six for this series so maybe it will be on sony max in uk
 
Any idea who will show in the UK the series starts in 2 days time? Hope one the asian channels picks this up!

Its confirmed guys Star Gold UK are showing the series in the UK. Ive just seen the TV guide listings. Starts at 7am. Thank goodness for that

One of the worst commentary line-ups you will ever see.
 
Absoloutley disgraceful coverage on Star Gold. It's better than no coverage at all but the volume is so poor for 2 days now. It's like an echo and if they sitting in a studio and commentating over live pictures. Shocking!

The Aussie commentators aren't too bad. Allan Border, Brendan Julian, Mike Hussey, unless the UK is getting a different coverage to Australia?
 
I see these "Who is broadcasting" threads before each Pakistan series. I see so many, especially from the UK desperately looking to watch the game. But have no information.

This reflects poorly on the PCB. Why is the PCB not selling these rights much ahead of time? These are revenue generating avenues. The rights should be let out to bid well in advance and have everything in place ahead of time.

This will help in forecasting revenues, which in turn will help plan the development of Pakistan cricket and put to use these $$. But total silence from the PCB.
 
After listening to waqar in this test series and amir sohail in the asia cup, I now think Ramiz is still miles ahead of them. Though his post match presentations continue to be disappointing.
Its been an absolute delight to hear Mr. Cricket Mike hussey this series.

Hussey will not shut up for a second. Border sounds like he's depressed.

In the UK the biggest broadcasters are BT and sky. Neither would pick up a Pakistan series that’s not against England. Period. It’s not commercially viable.

Not only that, but I've spoken with a broadcaster before and they said to me that they don't bid for Pakistan series due to unprofessionalism from the PCB and leaving everything to the last minute.

Exactly. It’s not worth the risk. Besides most Pakistani would stream it illegally anyway. Credit to BCCI on being so professional and having a business culture and quality control and assurance.

Disagree.

If they can afford to show the West Indies List A competition and the South Africa/Zimbabwe series, then a Pakistan series would be more than viable.

It's more to do with what Saj has said (ie. unprofessionalism).

Sky sports have never ever shown West Indies list A games. As a subscriber I would know.. South Africa games are financially viable and have a strong setup. Sure If the opposition is zimbabawe vieweershipnwould be low. However when they play say Australia or any other top side viewership would be high.

Pakistani culture is to stream things and find a way to watch it for free. Alongside PCB being u professional it’s not worth the financial risk.

No, Sky Sports haven't, you're right there but BT sport HAVE shown West Indies List A cricket.

He must have meant the CPL. I am sure sky holds the rights to Indias game though, dont know why their games against west indies are not live.

No, I meant what I said. As Hadi has mentioned, BT broadcasts the West Indies List A competition.

CricketDon misread my post and thought I was saying Sky broadcasts it.

Star has had good viewing figures for Pakistan v Australia and I would expect that they will go for the Pakistan versus NZ series too.

Great news! I'm glad a television broadcaster has picked this up along with the Aus series. Streaming during the Asia Cup was painful.
