I am so looking forward to watching Sharjeel and Maqsood bat, but if Haris Sohail gets a game it will be the icing on the cake! If Asad Shafiq gets chosen, I will switch it off as soon as he comes out.

Also combination has to be correct.
 
Pakistan batting first I think dew will come into play but Pakistan not a good chasing side hopefully we put a decent score on the board.
 
Looks like bowler heavy team Harris continue to miss out :facepalm:
 
6 bowlers :facepalm: when will Misbah learn ffs! Doesn't he realise in ODI you need more batsmen than bowlers! I would rather have a part-timer bowling who could potentially only give away 10-20 runs more than a specialist bowler if it means an extra batsman can be fitted into the playing XI.

When will Misbah learn? We don't need Tanvir, we need Harris! Maqsood and Shahzad could always bowl a few overs if the need arises. Why do we play over 5 bowlers, when our premier bowlers don't even finish their quotas!
 
Have a feeling Mendis will be like Warne today , bamboozling our batsmen.
 
Still not sold on Bilawal Bhatti, not wishing him to fail but he should be rested for Haris Sohail for at least 2-3 games of this series

Pretty well. Last T20, remember him doing well when our other spinners were being hit.

Given we're so reliant on our spin attack, dew is a worry.

Why does Shehzad always do this? He blocks most the balls but almost always takes a single off last ball to retain strike

Dunno why he's not. He's clearly a very special bowler, especially in LOI. Conventional spinners like Herath aren't going to dominate in LOIs as much as a good mystery spinner like Mendis. In tests maybe it's different, but in LOI, Mendis should be playing.

Dead flat pitch, 300 may not be enough and as usual there's an overly cautious start which'll lead to unnecessary pressure and a batting collapse

Yeah.

Good for us that Kulasekera isn't playing, he tends to do well against us. Malinga and Perera are quality in the LOI format, but got reservations about Lakmal.
 
I really was a massive fan of Shehzad few years ago, but what the hell has happened to him (and Jamshed). Guy just does not play any shots whatsoever now

Dunno where this death bowling nonsense came from. He bowls the odd good over in T20 at the death. That's it. No specialist.

The guy especially looking at him in ODIs, clearly prefers the new ball. And in ODIs, there are plenty of times I remember Tanvir being hit at the death.

Our pacers have done badly in T20s, so fine if Tanvir plays there. But in ODIs, got so many options better than him. Unless it's in Sri Lanka where Tanvir's suited, he shouldn't play.
