Will Pak batting take a big lead or follow the same route as the West Indies and collapase. About half an hour before the match. Post all updates and discussions in this thread

If Younis and Hafeez and Yousuf Take Pakistan past the WI score , Id like to see Akmal and Malik promoted up ahead of Inzamam.

Care to elaborate?

Theres still a long time in the game, so grinding out runs isnt a bad thing

Today Mohammed Yousuf is essentail for pakistan and also for W.I ,inshallah he will make us proud and score big.

Match about to start.

salam all.

if we get at least a 100 run lead then it will be very tough for the windies to come back and win

Ball is moving thru the air and off the pitch ,hopefully younis and hafeez will survive the first hour.

and then collymore gets sharp bounce on the next ball. should be a good test of techinique for these two.

Doesn't seem like Intikham Alam's guarantee of a full house for today is going to pan out....

It's 9.30am on a Sunday morning. You obviously don't know Lahoris if you think they are going to come this early.

Even if it is a full house, it wouldn't be until after lunch.

Hafeez facing Collymore for the first time today.....this should be interesting.

These two are doing okay. Just need to see off this opening period. Keep the scoreboard ticking though.

That's why I said it doesn't look like it will pan out, not as of now. It'll be a decent crowd still, probably slightly better than yesterday.

Younis leaves a delivery close to his off-stump. That's a batsman's leave.

YOUNIS GONE!

Younis falls to the short ball. They were setting him up. He went for the pull, catch taken.

45/2

Oh well I guess as long as it isnt India Younis doesnt feel obligated to be consistently good :p

Appeal for leg before on Hafeez. Going over the top, maybe even down leg side.

They tried the bouncer on hafeez to see if he would bite. no dice, he ducked under it.

another delivery down legside. worked away for one.

meanwhile manjrekar comes on and starts talking about outfield patterns. Sheesh.

hafeez starting to look more and more assured out there. Let's see how he handles this.

u want me to bring "hafiz looking more competent with each outing" thread? :)

I was just talking in the contexts of this innings.

Great ball from Collymore. Nipped in off the pitch. No chance for the batsman.

This time an edge. Goes through the slip cordon for another boundary.

Should PAK try to increse their RR?.... because it'll be hard for the lower order batsmen to face the W Indian pace bowlers with the 2nd new ball!
