Pakistani batsmen in PSL 2017

So far only kamran and misbah has scored a fifty each and malik also chipped in with forty odd runs and umar akmal scored 35 today. Rest of the players like shehzad , shahzaib , fakhar, harris, babar failed to score runs in initial matches.
Hope these young batsmen start to score runs at a good rate.
Lets keep a watch on these batsman on this thread
 
Shahzeb had informed pcb about the approach and was questioned in that regard. Too much hype in media. Khi should play the same team like Lahore
 
Unfortunately, the foreigners are hogging all the top spots.

Rizwan didn't even get to bat today, which is pretty shameful.

This is the PAKISTAN super league and our players should be in those crunch moments.
 
this league is pretty much about foreign batsmen v Pakistani bowlers.
 
Sarfraz's confidence is on another level, he started out really slowly but then finished the game with the strike rate of 133 and that too by anchoring the innings, running between the wickets was insane, so much confidence and passion

he's our best limited over batsman right now he should bat at 4, he was the top scorer in England ODI series as well, I was shocked when he flew back home and could not play Australia ODI series, I thought he's gonna be the top scorer again there.

His haters will start turning into his fans soon, when he starts leading from the front and national team goes back to winning ways

what? no, did you watch how he stated out, that Watson over he wasted looked like a fool, lucky that he survived. later he started hitting and gave away his wicket ordinarily by his trademark mid wicket slog, Babar's innings was better, Misbah and Sarfraz were truly impressive

he was completely missing Watson's balls, looked like a child swinging his bat around when he came in, he has turned into a hack believe it or not, far from an impressive innings

What are you talking about?

He faced only 2 balls against Watson, when he came to crease.

One which he missed a cut shot (beaten by bounce) and the other was a single.

Where is the swinging and missing?

Don't bother arguing. Umar was brilliant and Lahore would've been in a spot of bother without his knock. Has to open for pakistan

50 off 42 not totally useless but only a satisfactory innings.there is something not right about the composition of your team. 5 out of top 7 need time to really get going and even gayle wants time before he unleashes.

hope babar doesnt get kicked out because it will be great exposure for him batting at 3 for a whole tourney. should be a major part of his development.
same for haris who could be the fall guy as u cant afford a player at 5 who is gonna scratch around
 
another zero for the superstar umar akmal rizwan fails again and fakhar showed some hope in his 33
 
Awful most of them and clear evidence why we are terrible in limited overs matches.
 
Hafeez, S Maqsood, Sharjeel, U Akmal, A Shehzad, Haris Sohail etc terrible so far.

And except Hafeez, all of them were held back by Misbah. There's even a thread on it. Can't believe some people can be so delusional.
 
shehzad was looking good in his brief stay at the crease while scoring 26 of 15
 
In general PAK batters have been terrible. PSL 2017 is highlighting the gulf between Pakistan and the world.

Disappointing to see PAK lag so far behind even the has beens of International Cricket
 
Babar is a terrific ODI bat but needs to improve a lot in Tests and T20Is.

Babar is an accumulator and a relentless one in ODI. But he need someone like Sharjeel in the team to have an overall positive impact on the team. Let's see what he does if Sharjeel gets punished. Right now he has as good an impact as Jonathan Trott had on England ODI team.
 
fakhar zaman so far a very good find in this psl edition. i read somewhere he is from navy so the sifarish factor is not needed for his selection. nevertheless he might become a good player for pak

Fakhar will be in the team soon
 
Fakhar Zaman is the leading run scorer from Pakistani batsmen uptill now,with 105 runs in 4 games followed by Malik on 98 in 3 games.

Yes he was a navy officer until recently and his teammates refer to him as "Soldier".


That nick reminds me of Abdur Razzaq who was referred to as Fauji and my word if the Fauji was in the mood then the opposition better find solace in their bunkers and trenches.
 
Nothing flash from the Pakistan batsmen so far.

Need to up their game on the pitch, not with bookies.

This is why Lahore is a likeable side. They're giving a good chance to the local players. Solid outing for Zaman and Rizwan today.
 
Sarfraz Ahmed now the second highest run scorer from Pakistan behind Fakhar Zaman.
 
Rizwan has been very aggressive in the last few matches and he looks better playing that way.
 
Babar azam improving day by day
45 not out yesterday in a chase and gave a solid start today with his 46
