Would be nice if Pakistani PPers could share Pak journalists and news outlets who are considered unbiased.

Have seen a few debates conducted by Dawn and they seem restrained and civilized.

Not expecting these news sources to be against the Pakistani view on national issues like security or Kashmir. Just fair.

Dawn is the most credible and reputed source in Pakistan by some distance. PTI supporters obviously dislike them because they show PTI the mirror and says things they don’t want to read.

However, when it comes to foreign affairs, it is not very credible and spews the same pro-Pakistan propaganda, blaming everything on India.

Nonetheless, if you want a good grip on Pakistani news, you have to read and watch Dawn.

This won't be very popular opinion here but in my view Najam Sethi is one of the better Pakistani analysts when it comes to foreign affairs, economics and any issue of a legal or technical nature. Of course he is completely biased when discussing domestic politics and nowadays goes out of his way to undermine PTI / IK but when when it comes to geopolitics and foreign relations that don't involve his domestic biases, his analysis is usually spot-on.

It is a two-way street. Najam Sethi can be biased at times, but Imran has also gone out of his way to malign him. He has often falsely accused him and PTI have had to apologize on his behalf.

Nonetheless, Sethi is an asset for the country. Not only is he very insightful, he is also one of the most well-connected people in the country with important contacts in every field.

Deep down, I am sure Imran regrets the fact that he hasn’t been able to get him on his side like the other turncoat opportunists who have jumped on the PTI bandwagon.

Fair enough. Blaming Sethi for the whole 35 puncture issue was a gaffe from PTI but the feud has now become personal and Sethi as a journalist doesn't even try to maintain a pretense of neutrality when it comes to PTI/pmln issues. Given how Sethi was able to put behind his issues with pmln despite being physically roughed up by them in the 90's, I wish PTI can also patch up with him. He is certainly a very competent man and and not utilizing him is a bit of a waste.

Don’t trust Pak media. There’s a reason why we rank 142 in Press Freedom Index.

Everyone has a bias whether it’s DAWN, GEO, ARY or Express Tribune.

Some may say DAWN is reputable but that’s only because they find news they like to see on DAWN (Confirmation Bias).
The same could be said about any Pakistani media outlet.

You are contradicting yourself. You are choosing the positive of Dawn that you want to side with but at same time criticizing Dawn on topics you don't want to side with them on. So overall is Dawn credible or not for you?

What is the Pakistani equivalent of 'The Hindu' which is my favorite newspaper?

Just had a look at this index. India and Pakistan are neighbors there too at 140 and 142. What was surprising was Afghanistan ranking 20 spots better.

To be ranked in the 140s out of 180 is truly shameful.

Credible for domestic affairs but fuels the usual propaganda when it comes to foreign affairs.

Dawn news. Its a very neutral news paper. PTI fans have a problem with it because as mamoon said that they show the real mirror to them.

I always found The News to be a big joke. They are quite bias.

The Express Tribune was a good paper 5-7 years ago.

As others have already said Dawn is the only objective mainstream media outlet in Pakistan.
