In the last 4 years, Babar Azam has practically done squat as captain for Pakistan and for his franchise in the PSL. Only in Pakistan will the best batsman in the country have an unquestioned monopoly where he will be allowed to undeservedly hold on to the captaincy inspite of achieving such pathetic results with the team. Every time the PCB has debated taking the captaincy away from him, his friends in the media have put pressure on the PCB to continue with the status quo.
The PCB is criminally ignoring these results. We have seen them pamper all of our players and treat them like kings when they have achieved squat in the last 4 years. Surely someone has to pull these players up and give them tough love and remind them that their individual performances in spurts mean nothing when the team as a whole is languishing in the bottom of the rankings and not winning anything significant of note.
