In the complex geopolitical landscape of South Asia, Pakistan has long harbored aspirations of achieving strategic depth, particularly with respect to its western borders. This concept, often tied to national security strategy, envisions a degree of territorial buffer or influence in neighbouring countries, particularly Afghanistan, to secure its own borders and ensure its survival amid perceived threats. However, recent events, such as the attack on the Jaffar Express in Balochistan, and the growing cooperation between militant groups like the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), have exposed the flaws and contradictions inherent in Pakistan’s strategic policies. The persistent instability in its western frontier can be attributed to significant mistakes made by Pakistan’s civilian and military institutions.

Pakistan's civilian institutions have been ineffective in addressing these issues. Successive civilian governments have failed to implement meaningful political reforms in Balochistan or address the grievances of its people. While military operations have been employed to quell insurgent activity, these have often been heavy-handed and exacerbated local resentment. The lack of proper dialogue and engagement with Baloch leaders has made it difficult for civilian authorities to foster an environment of trust and cooperation. Instead, Balochistan has been subjected to a cycle of military crackdowns, which only deepens the sense of alienation among its people.

Looks like Taliban and Afghanistan have joined the party. Pakistan's so called strategic depth lies in tatters. Pakistan has zero institutions, and it is a rentier state. All Pakistani media speaks about these days is khwarij, fitna etc. It is a very foolish qaum.
The attack on Afghan happened on America's behest to get the Bagram base. All the Pakistanis are so so stupid. Why will Indian Muslim or any other countries Muslim will support Pakistan?
There dreams of Ummah have been given a chummah.

Dont get too excited

Remember China is the new sheriff in town

They will eventually dictate what happens next as both Pak and Afg need their help.

To be honest I am not liking this attack on Afghanistan even though they deserve some punishment for being namak haram but I think we punished them far too much now and it will actually going to haunt us in the coming years because Afghans are egoistic and revenge seeking people.

Afghans don't find a traditional war. It is guerilla war fare and they have survived for past 40-5o years. Yet know one can control them. In search of so called strategic depth, Asim Munir as chewed more than he can bit. I am loving India's move here and they have pounced on this opening. Keep both side of Pakistan borders hot and drain the generals.

This attack on Afghan's is one of the most stupidest think Pak Army has done. But this is good for India. So Field Marshal must keep on going.
