All can play for atleast 10 years or so and are extremely good prospects much better than the ones we produced in the last decade.

Unlike the Butts,Farhats,Asifs etc. They are level headed cricketers who know their limits and perform when the team needs them the most.

Ah yes the other extreme of PP.

We get to see this after a win at the beginning of yet another golden era. Can't wait for it be all doom and gloom again if we lose the next match. :afridi

It isn’t, all you people will be wrist slitting as soon as we loose the next match.

The countless issues with Pakistan cricket won’t go away after one win, even if it was a good performance.

Our middle order is still a big worry. Do you really see Hafeez ,Malik ,and Sarfraz scoring in pace friendly conditions against Boult,Starc,Hazelwood,Cummins ,and Bumrah?

Our issue isn't making or chasing 260/270 ish scores . Our problem is scoring big 300 plus scores which are the norm.

Imam is average. Will eventually be dropped once he goes out of form. If he continues, then it means you guys are still mediocre.

So, that's not a great future.

We will not be ranked in the top 3 in ODIs for a long, long time, and the "we are the best in T20s" drama will also end soon. Not sure what future the OP is referring to - I see nothing but mediocrity in Pakistan's future in all formats.

lol as if inzi/yousuf/younis ever survived in pace friendly conditions against pollock, mcgrath, bond, lee, walsh etc.

pak will never do well in pace friendly conditions

Inzi and Yousuf were still better ODI players than what we have now.

yes because we got to bash india all the time and we played plethora of matches at home...

if we had matches in pakistan, you could bet your house we'd have a better odi record

The pessimist strikes again 😂. Test cricket, i agree with you. I somewhat agree with ODIs too because we lack Sharjeel at the top to go at a good rate with Fakhar and we don’t really have any good finishers after Hafeez and Malik retire. Asif Ali is only good enough for T20s.

However for T20s, i genuinely believe we are very competitive. You have to give credit where it is due. We have defeated NZ in NZ and in UAE. We also won the tri series in Zimbabwe against Australia. The only team I consider would beat us more often than not is India right now. Other than that i genuinely believe we are a fairly competitive T20 team and can hold our own against good teams. Always winnings is not possible, margins are too close in T20s and the team which has the better day more often wins. All T20 teams are capable of winning on their day including Pakistan beating India on their day.
