For the umpteenth time in the PSL, I´ve goofed up with my modifications once again! Only nine days of cricket left and I´ve so many left that I´ll hardly be able to use them all. Due to the fact that a lot of the players playing today will be the same as those who played the last PSL day, on Friday, I was only required to make just one change to my team! I put the entire blame on the schedule of the tournament.

The PCB should take note of this!

Well, seeing the list makes me realise that the same might happen to other PPers too mind you. A lot have almost the same or even more number of modifications left than me. Still, they might still be able to use more wisely than me!

Such phrases are often uttered by those who´ve never won anything ! Like how minnows say after losing all matches in a global tournament, that participation itself is an honour.

Nah´, on a serious note, yes indeed. Having the chance to take part in this league competition only adds to the fun of watching a tournament. Hugely grateful to PP for providing me with something like this every now and then which kind of brings me back to cricket after months of lack of interest in the game.

Actually, the UAE pitches are just not suited to my style of play. Almost nothing seems to click, nothing! I´m on the 17th spot, and trust me, I´ll put up a better show and end up in top 10 now that the last seven matches will be held in Pakistan.

Yes, I raised to 2nd, but then changed team missing the schedule by a day and my entire squad scored almost zero ..... couldn’t recover from that. Couple of my Captains betrayed big time as well.

Just two matches held in Pakistan and I´ve moved up seven places, as a result of which I´m on the seventh place, hence in the top 10 already. This is how you live up to your words and walk the talk.

..... trust me, I´ll put up a better show and end up in top 10 now that the last seven matches will be held in Pakistan.

Have to say most remarkable performance is by Haris Ahmed & Moiz Rana - never changed the initial squad means each day, some of their 11 players didn’t score any points and some days almost entire squad went point less, still their initial XI was so well picked, it kept them in top half.

Alex Hales is not in the list for Islamabad, and he's playing today for them.

But I hope my Lord has better plans for me.

Well, I was forced to play Munro due to Hales´ unavailability, someone whom I would´ve never played otherwise. Guess what, he gave me around 25 more points than Hales could´ve. So it turned out to be quite alright in the end I´d say.

Another top 10 finish then for me. Can be mightily proud of my effort and also at being so consistent at these competitions since 10 years now. Jumped up 11 places to finish on the 6th spot as soon as the tournament was shifted to Karachi. As it always happens with me in EACH PSL, I badly miscalculated my modifications and ended up not using a lot of them. Well, 31 of them this time around - which is way, way too much and is kind of a personal record. I need to plan better and go about it wisely the next year to finally win a tournament that has eluded me from three years now. This has now become my unconquered territory!
