Very fortunate today to be bringing you coverage of Day 3 from he 1st Test between Australia and New Zealand from the Gabba media box as a representative of PakPassion.

Do post any questions you have here. I will be updating this thread on a regular basis. And may try and get some pictures up too.

Crowd today is probably better than the last few days as its a weekend, but still less than quarter full. Many still coming through the gates.

This is awesome!! Go PP

How big of a lead do you think Australia will give?

Lucky you Genghis.

How is the pitch expected to behave for Day 4 and 5?

After seeing what sort of crowd we had last year with the Ashes ... this is a complete downer.

Positive for the home supporters is the Aussies good start this morning. Too many bad balls again from the kiwis, but captain Clarke is batting well and aggressively.

Also good to see the beach balls back at the Gabba ... there was a restriction on them last year, but they've made a comeback.

Mexican wave was also banned last year, but they've lifted that, so we might see it later in the day.

By the way with that dolly of a catch dropped by the NZ keeper, there were some murmurs in the media box with the name 'Kamran Akmal'.

The Gabba is Australia's fortress, they never lose there.

During the lunch break we saw a bunch of kids onto the ground playing mini cricket. Since then the crowd has built up a bit and they're all pretty happy with Clarke getting his century.

New ball taken by the kiwis but no luck so far ... and Australia in the lead.

Looks like Clarke and Haddin are enjoying the new ball, NZ really need one wicket to get into the tail.

Blame the ridiculous ticket prices.
Probably a valid point. You can charge something like this for an Ashes test match ... but what were they thinking when its NZ playing. Saturday is generally one of the best days for crowds, but today has been very poor.

Vettori finally gets a delivery which send a player back to the dressing room. Unfortunately for him, its his own player ... Keeper down ... OUCH!

Meanwhile ... looks like we may get some NZ batting today which will be good.

With the weather being nice and bright today, looks like we might get an extra few overs in today to make up for time lost last couple of days.

Good to keep on playing. All good to continue for the time being.

And the kiwis finally hold onto a catch ... Haddin out for 80.

Lights are on in the stadium.

Final wicket gone. Australia finishes on 427 - a lead of 132. NZ will have to bat out a testing last few overs this afternoon.

This is probably last over of the day for Aus. And He's got McCullum.

Clearly been Australia's day and a long way for NZ to go to get back into this game.

Crowd has been disappointing but then again, the Gabba is the worst cricket stadium in Australia for the spectator, IMO. Good cricket pitch but they are ridiculously overzealous in enforcing the rules which say nobody is allowed to have any fun at the game....

Anyone from Pakpassion there tomorrow? I will be at the Boxing Day Test

I'm not "from" PakPassion, but I'm going Thursday/Friday/Saturday and Sunday if it happens.

I'm probably going to miss the start of Day 1 - aiming to be there by drinks in the first session.

I'm going to the SCG Test too.

As an aspiring Psychiatrist I want to ask you how do you manage to find time to blog so much on Pakpassion?? :P I'm studying and I barely get time to read all the threads
