We have had a lot of heroes in the past that helped our team and sadly never made it to the top level because we don't foster talent well (when I look at India's current team, many of their stars came through their system like Pujara, Sharma, Kohli...even some who had moderate success like RP Singh).

Thought we could get an update on a few names if people have info:

Mansoor Amjad - Got 3/3 against BD in his only T20. 1/44 vs Lanka, never seen again.

Tariq Mahmood, last domestic match was in 2010 - what happened to him?

Jamshed Ahmed - Last time PP talked to him he was sitting on the bench for PIA

Akthar Ayub - Part of that deadly trio that reduced Pujara and Sharma to nothing.

Usman Qadir - whats the latest with him

Feel free to add others.

Not considered a hero but Ali Imran Pasha not being able to break the shackles of nepotism has been a huge loss for Pakistan.

Nobody can forget the heroics of Anwar Ali for what he did in the 2006 U19WC Final, he took 5/35 bowling India out for 71 and defending 109 in the final, though I didn't watch it live, I remember when I was first interested in cricket and my father showed me the highlights and that simply mesmerised me, I remember one of the commentators reminding the audience that there was nothing wrong with the scorecard because everyone was in shock because India was at around 5/9. Was an amazing game.
