PCB constitution challenged in court, coaches still to be appointed, no selectors.... PCB in crisis?

Reports say that the PCB constitution has been challenged in court and suspended, regional coaches fired earlier (Sabih Azhar) reinstated

With about a month to go to SL LOI Series, we do not have coaches in play...

I would say PCB are in a crisis.

Why is that?

No knowledge of how the cricketing system works but giving judgements on it like they are the experts.

The first part isn't a big deal - any constitutional change will face some legal challenges. It's good actually - the legal gaps will be plugged in the process. If the old Constitution isn't changed, that'll keep PCB Patron in charge - who can always dissolve the board & run the operation on ad hoc basis.

The other two are a bit irritating - they should have a plan B, with out Arthur scenario, they should have a short list of candidates after Inzi and they should have kicked out Sarfraz by now.

Not the first time some PCB matters are going to court, Zaka Ashraf and Najam Sethi's court fight is till fresh in memories.

I think it will be managed as constitutional amendments are still in process and if PM wants certain constitutional changes than its highly unlikely that it wont go through.

most of the coaches are to be blamed for the domestic structure.

Look you give a structure to them, and its on the coaches and presdients of association how to make the structure better.

SNGPL made a great team, than WAPDA also started to build a strong team. KRL was also making a good team.
Only 3 teams had been build, rest were doing jack.

Sabih Azhar saab was threatning his players from joining KRL.
SHakeel SHeikh also didnt like his players joining department. One of the reasons why Imad Waseem got selected to Pakistan team was because of his loyalty to SHakeel

It wasn't brought in a rush. They've worked on this for a year now. However we know in Pakistan everything gets challenged in court. Especially Lahore High Court, they love to side with the petitioner against any changes. Heck, a street cart guy moving across the street from his usual spot would even get challenged in Pakistan and LHC would tell him to go back to the original spot.

I just hope PCB legal staff have a plan and can with governments help move things up the relevant courts quickly.

A year is not that long a time, plus it can not be strong armed in. There were reports months back that there would be push back within the PCB, why were structures and regulations not put in place to stop this from happening?

The problem is constitution was passed not in a democratic way. The stakeholders were not consulted, the constitution was never discussed with anybody. Thats what NA standing commitee of IPC asked the same questions to PCB COO

Imran Khan should have had grand cricket commitee, the task should have been to improve Pakistan domestic cricket from grass root to national team, get everyone's feedback. The whole system would have been owned by everyone, and would have stayed there for long.

This system is fickle, new goverment comes in and changes will happen again

I'd not call this crisis, I'd say we are finally moving towards a more professional management system, a more competitive domestic system and hopefully a more professional and competitive team!

We were also told that the 3 member committee would announce the 6 domestic teams but seems that too much happening at the moment and they are not able to do that.

Guys as mentioned by previous post let’s be patient , did you really think all the Chacha’s who been getting paid a salary for decades would just let this go? Clearly they was going to be some resistance, I just hope it get cleared up quickly and we can give Wasim and Ehsan mani a chance to implement there ideas.
