The PCB and Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) have held fruitful discussions on matters of mutual interest.

In principle both Boards are agreed that:

(1) PCB will continue to host its major tournaments in the UAE.

(2) The ECB commits to a significant reduction of the costs to PCB of holding these tournaments with immediate effect.

(3) The ECB will host a T20 and T10 League from Dec 10, 2018, to Jan 10, 2019 when there are no PCB fixtures in the UAE.

(4) The ECB will not host any League during the time when the PCB/PSL T20/ODI fixtures are being played in the UAE.

Wonder if this means PSL games in Abu Dhabi as well?

Well this is good news for PCB. Finally taking some initiative to ECB. Personally I would like to see PCB look at alternatives venue's since UAE isn't sufficing in terms of crowd attendance.

Smart deal by pcb after almost ruining the relationship with ECB.the fact is very are out of choices and at the point uae is only place we can host countries.

I would stay there till next 3 to 4 years

The tamasha continues.

KARACHI: Despite reaching an agreement with the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB), the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will maintains its previous stance of not allowing its centrally contracted players to compete in the Emirates T20 League which is scheduled to commence in December this year.

“So far the decision made in the PSL general body meeting stands and the board will not permit its centrally contracted players to feature in the Emirates league,” a senior PCB official said on Thursday.

On the other hand, the chairman of the Emirates T20 event Dr Nasim Ashraf is upbeat about ironing out the issues with the PCB in the near future.

Dr Ashraf, a former PCB chairman, was of the opinion that the Emirates T20 league would help the emerging young players to groom themselves and their participation would be beneficial for Pakistan cricket.

“We look forward to working with the PCB to make both the PSL and Emirates T20 League the two most successful cricket events in the global calendar,” said Dr Ashraf.

Another league official, giving details, said that five franchise teams will contest for the inaugural title in a 22-match format, to be played over 24 days.

“Each squad of 16 will comprise six international players, two emerging players from ICC Full Member countries, three players from the ICC Associate Member nations, two junior players and three UAE cricketers”, the official concluded.

Everyday some new twist in the tale. The PCB has (reportedly) only restricted the centrally contracted cricketers from participating in the tournament.Other players can still take part.I’m pretty sure the likes of Malik and Rumman Raees(who only play in the shorter formats) will be allowed to play if it doesn’t conflict with international schedule.

However;PCB should not allow any contracted player in the T10 league.

I'd rather our centrally contracted players stay away from these UAE leagues - they attract bookies like bees to a honeypot.
