Peshawar somehow manages to win all these domestic tournaments despite having no big names in their side.

The fielding is school level.

Don't know whom was saying Mudassar was trundling, but I advise them to turn on the telly now.

This is some serious pace.

Yeah you can clearly see the difference in pace between Anwar Ali and Mudassar. Gotta think he is bowling around 140 kph.

Needs to work on his control, though.

Yep, but I'd assume every 17 year old bowler needs to work on his control.

It'll be interesting to see if he can stay healthy long-term as his bowling action looks pretty violent to me.

Moin Khan has always addressed Mudassar as a 20 year old, I highly doubt he's genuinely 17.

The PTV production team literally has 70 year old chachas. No wonder they are unable to use new and better cameras.

Watching some of the fielding on display I have nothing but sympathy for Steve Rixon.

What to say when hacks like Iftikhar pile up the runs at domestic level...

Taj has lost a lot of pace.

Was reaching much faster speeds the last time I watched him live.

I enjoy Taj Wali's bowling. His actions is a bit similar to Starc.

Taj Wali was a nothing bowler, was hyped before. I thought he was very good but just now saw how he was.. Looks completely out of shape for a cricketer and with zero pace, not sure why ppl hyped this guy

was looking forward to see taj wali.. had an image of tall slim guy with gud action. but turns out to be over weight guy.. no pace no line i dnt knw why he was so much hyped..

At least you've learned a valuable lesson. You shouldn't take any notice of PPers crying about TTF's or demanding the selection of allegedly talented youngsters from domestic cricket based on nothing more than looking at the table of averages.

Anwar Ali has a List-A batting average of 30.

Can the standard of cricket get any more mediocre.

Taj was a more than decent bowler. 5x better than the no skill trundler Junaid Khan.

I don't know how he was today, but I'm guessing lost his fitness thanks to rotting in domestics for so long and not getting picked at peak.

25 years old and he's peaked already, whatta talent.

Obviously some of the experts here watching him today haven't seen him earlier. He used to be brisky with good shape into right handers.

I think iftikhar gets too much hate here. I feel he has a shot at a place in the middle order

Probably not 25, and domestic can demotivate you, when you're not getting picked despite doing your best.

Correct. Had a natural inswinger and could move the ball away too. BOTH ways movement.

Anwar Ali scoring leg side hoicks against trundlers.

Inzi is going to select him soon. :))) :))) :inzi

An example of the quality of our domestic cricket - in the tournament final, Iftikhar chacha, the innocuous offspinner, is on a hattrick

as I said this system is a joke. Kamran Akmal would score 100s in his sleep in these tournaments. PCB only have these tournaments for formality nothing else.

Express pacer Ghulam Mudassir smashed to all parts and picks up zero wickets.

The PP hype machine is well and truly behind this lad :lol

Did you tell Hawkeye?

I'm pretty sure you would've called players like Sharjeel a hack.

Anyways, Shahzaib isn't Sharjeel quality, but is still the 2nd best hitter from the available domestic opener options.

He does score 100s like a pro in these tournaments... same with Shehzad and Salman Butt

Are you sure about this? Have you followed my opinion on Sharjeel since reintroduction? Do you want me to make you look stupid again?

Learn to identify potential before it flourishes.

No, I just don't go gaga over some unknown name because they looked good in a Youtube video. No shortcuts to hard work. If he picks up bucket loads of wickets in domestics then I will be the first one to call for his inclusion in the side. Till then he can continue showing "aggression" to batsmen and then proceed to get smashed to all parts.

Sohail Tanvir and Anwar Ali are the top wicket-takers.

This is the problem with a flawed domestic system.

I watched the first 10 overs or so, and in that period, Ghulam was troubling the batsmen. Yes, he needs to work on his control. But he was going for runs because the fielding was absolute trash. From the opposite end, Anwar was bowling maidens with his 120kph gun-barrel straight bowling.

One of the two has the potential to be an international quality bowler. You tell me which one.

Peshawar is winning so many tournaments lately. I remember when they were blatant underdogs. Good on them.

It's a cause of concern when there are no intl quality players in a side, yet it manages to win a domestic tournament.

Apart from maybe Taj Wali, who is 2x better than Junaid. Has a natural inswinger, bowled Shahzaib with that.

I don't buy this "flawed" domestic system logic at every point. Yes we know the domestic cricket is bad, in the words of a poster here "it is worse than gully cricket in India", but in this particular match Ghulam and Anwar were given the same conditions the same opportunity to succeed, and one did and the other failed like no tomorrow.

My point is Ghulam may turn out to be a good bowler in the future, but some PP'ers make him to be the best thing since sliced bread, while at present he is being out-bowled by even Anwar Ali.

Ghulam 9 0 57 0 6.33 (2w)
