Peshawar Zalmi beat Lahore Qalandars by 4 wickets in 25th match of PSL 4

Umair Masood finally gets a game. After 4 years of PSL. If i am not wrong he's been selected every year.
 
I hope PZ loss this match because misbah comeback into the team but youngster Nabi gul still waiting for a single opportunity
 
As usual morrison is making rubbish excuses for devich. Hopefully we kick him out for next year. Rubbish commentator.
 
Ryan Ten deshchote is a good addition though LQ would be needing their captain Fakhar to fire at the start
 
Sameen has really grown as a bowler in this season

Then they will send him at no. 7 or 8 with 3-4 balls left. Typical politics
 
Zalmi is proving once more that T20 is a Bowlers' game. They might end as top team or definitely among top 2, with a batting line-up comfortably the weakest and someone like Dawson batted at 4-5 for them, but their attack has kept them at top.

What's gone wong for Lahore? They seem to have a pretty decent attack too.
 
Misbah is such a selfish person even in his 45 he is trying to block another young player. What is yhe point to play in PSL few matches? Does he really in-need of money.

Their attack is decent at most but I think, they lost too many tosses. This PSL has been completely one sided for chasing sides and LQ has lost most of the games batting first. They did chase 200+ once. Also, having good attack is one thing and using the attack is different issue; Sammy has been exceptional as Captain in PSL while LQ probably has gone for about a dozen Captains in 4 years.

Did you notice all the franchises are not promoting young batsmen? If 1 or 2 of them gets selected they send them very low. Looks like a hidden deal not to promote any young batsmen. All of them promoting young bowlers.

That's true. The toss has been a huge factor in this PSL which puts the team batting first at a huge disadvantage.

May be quality of the young prospect has lot to do in it. Shaheen, Sameen, Umer, Hasnain, Ibtesham ... these are genuinely exciting prospect, which can't tell about the young batsmen. Also, this is foolish to think that Franchise T20 will take care for grooming/promoting National batting resources, T20 isn't for that. I wrote it long back and I stick to that - QG is doing a great favor by not picking Saud, he isn't a T20 player and failure batting at 6-7 would have avail Ul Haq opportunity to keep him in A team for another 4 years. In this PSL whatever I have seen, noticed that Inzamam only present in Zalmi's game few times, and his nephew is playing there at 3 at the tempo of ODI in a T20; otherwise T20 isn't for young batsmen - ideally every U23 batsmen should be blocked from playing T20s.
 
Lahore qalandars owners please learn how to use crick info to check averages and strike rates of players in t20 before signing them up and please get rid if aaqib. Also muse sure players will play whole tourney

Both Sultans and Qalanders been evil to the fans. Too many one sided games because of them.
 
Oh God if only Haris could have been fit against the Saffers. Could have won the first Test.

If Haris doesn't get a place in the world cup starting eleven then I don't know anymore!

Even if we have to sacrifice both Malik and Hafeez for Haris!

Very soon we will see Imam in T20I.
 
Good knock but Haris needs to work on his finishing of innings.

Two of our best batsmen Babar and Haris are still learning to finish innings and matches. While I can give leverage to Babar because he is still young but its high time for Haris to start doing that.

Shouldn't be that much of an issue for Haris as he can generate that power + timing. He just doesn't often get that chance to finish an innings. On the other hand Babar always stays till the end but lacks the power.
 
Why did Lahore tamper with the openers?

Akhtar and Fakhar were doing relatively well together at the top and they drop Akhtar down the order.
 
Fakhar has looked ugly with the bat for the last couple of months seems to be just playing like a hack every time he walks out to play.

His game has gone down considerably since that CT knock and no I am not considering his 200 against Zimbabwe.
 
Shaheen is the real deal the guy moves ball around as well now. Loved the way he set up Imam there. Got 1 to go away and the other to come in. Top class.

Our players dont have a cricketing mind that is the main reason for their mediocrity. If I can see from sitting at home that they should bowl shaheen out here and get sandeep on as soon as possible, why cant fakhar think like that?

Why give the opposition the chance to get into the game? I really dont understand it.

Peshawar is 20/5 and you are complaining about Fakhar's captaincy? He's doing brilliantly.
 
Fakhar Zaman has been the best captain in the PSL. Most of his moves are good.

His batting has been poor but captaincy pretty good.
 
In 2019 we are witnessing Sammy and Misbah together trying to save a T20 match
 
Other than changing Shaheen a but early it has been excellent captaincy from Fakhar.

Understanding that pitch is assisting seamers, he is bowling them upfront and havent used Lamachane till now.

Was it fakhar who got peshawar 20 for 5?

If fakhar was that great a captain he would bowl out shaheen shah afridi and go for the kill. If one partnership gets going the game ll be in peshawar's hand.

Lolz the love for fakhar on pp is really mind boggling.
