- People using "gate" after any and every scandal that erupts. So damn annoying.

Ultra-religious people who're persistently preachy, judgmental, support violence to promote their religious beliefs(this includes supporting the supposedly noble warriors, the Afghan Taliban) and believe in curbing people's civil liberties in the name of religion (supporters of the Iranian, Saudi, Pakistani state laws regarding drinking, adultery, acceptable attire etc).

That awful smell that's characteristic to Indian food. I had the misfortune of sharing a house with Indians for a month and I would literally have to smoke £20 of marijuana every day to overpower that unbearable smell, air freshener just doesn't work. Doesn't help that they tend to live three to a room so in a house intended for 5 people, you have food for 12 being cooked three times a day.

Absolutely agree; I loathe smokers (including those who do the 'unharmful' weed) not only because of the harmful effect and repuation of cigarettes/weed but also because of the tremendous extremely unpleasant smell they generate. Disgusting they truly are.

This is something I can definitely comprehend. I hate individuals who preach religious opinions a consistent basis and aren't inclined to accpeting liberalist ideas but they themselves are prone to ignoring Islamic ideals (such as abstaining from smoking, flirting with women excessively etc).

The complete truth has been spoken above, gossiping/backbiting is rampant within the Pakistani community, even amongst my own family members I dare say. Although it is a trait common with women (no offence), it runs especially rife amongst Pakistani women who also have this annoying habit of discussing so-and-so causing "nazar" or having harmful intentions (essentially committing "**** jadduu"). Hence, it is imperative that I state that one of the most annoying things is having these tribal, out-dated ideas which have never been proved (i.e beliefs which have only been shaped as a consequence of old wives' tales).

Absolutely sickening, and it coincides with the irritating custom of throwing litter on the floor even when a bin is located maybe a few hundred metres away. In addition, the primary aspect of litter which I find most debilitating is the prevalence of dog litter - it's your pet, and you should pick it up and in the process not cause the waste of taxpayers' money and the denegration of environments. I become enraged when I stand on dog/cat faeces by accident, why can't people just pick it up and place it in a bin!?

I was in 5th grade when I asked this cute girl out. She said no. I was like okay fine. I didn't wanna impose. I was hurt but I shook it off. The girl then started being as cold as humanly possible and while I was there, she would not even dare to look up. Earlier, I found this ultra shyness of hers cute but then it started to grate. A lot.

I have only one pet hate (for now) and it is people who live on wellfare when they could either work or other revenue sources that they manage to get away with (husband, owning a house, foreign investments or owned by relatives, children living with parents but having a separate address,...). It is seen a lot in Pakistani community and it is akin to stealing from the poor to me, especially if it's to buy expensive clothes for kids that will grow out of it or eating out every week-end.

Such people give bad name to immigrants, when most of them have a positive influence, render the wellfare sysem flawed because of resentment among other people, take money from more deserving people and, on top of everything, are often religious self righteous people who will hound you for not praying or taking a loan when they are commiting one of the worst crimes possible.

On topic, dangerous animals and unconventional away that don't exist in the ecosystem naturally (in europe): wolfdogs (hybrid vigor makes them worse than wolves), spiders, snakes, even cats. Nourishing pigeons. The one concession I have is falcons. Traditional sport and keeps proliferation of pigeons in control.

By the above I meant that if one selects the User Profile of a particular poster, they are able to see which thread the poster is viewing and is even able to interpret whether they have acknowledged the existence of your new post, because it may state that they are 'Replying to ............... thread'. I understand this is not a foolproof method but at least it provides some insight (to a certain extent).

Understandable suggestion and something which is equally as annoying is posters who post without paragraphing/proper punctuation (the posts are often extremely difficult to read, regardless of the quality they may potentially be).

People who do not accept their mistakes. I just hate it.

This is an excellent post; people who commit the above rile me to an immense extent. Similarly, I am also annoyed by ignorant individuals who rather than listening to what one has to say (even if it is a viable reason), will just reply with a sarcastic "yeah" - in an attempt to say "whatever". My sister performs this act with great regularity, it really gets on my nerves when she just doesn't listen.

Totally agree. Although it is acceptable when it is actually required (if a poster replies directly to the OP and with detail), it is generally uneccessary as I'm sure posters understand what a certain poster is referring to - more irritating when a simple, one-lined post is given.

Personally, I actually despise the increase in these reality shows, as much I hate the general decline in common knowledge and the thriving nature of interest in celebrity's lives. Why does it actually matter what these nonsense people are doing in their spare time - all they do is swan around thinking their special, with their fake, orange tans and exaggerated American accents. Ludicrous, especially when considering it is these same people who complain about the invasion of their private lives - live quietly, look in the mirror at your materialistic self and shut up!

Yes, I know how you have 20 plus tabs open 'stalking' user profiles etc. , although I check it as well, as you state it helps in identify which poster has viewed your thread or replying to one in which you might have commented in. As this forum doesn't have the option of being able to see who has viewed the thread, it's justified

This leads to another point which is a drawback. Sometimes (and it happens quite a lot), you check the user profile and it says 'replying to...' you think the poster who you've quoted is replying to you, and get ready to read the reply, only to see the reply was to another poster.

The moral is don't expect too much and don't view the user profile that much as it's better and doesn't disappoint

A this forum doesn't have the option of being able to see who has viewed the thread, it's justified.

Actually, such a feature is available. By selecting the number located under the 'Replies' option and next to each respective thread, one is able to view the posters who have replied to a respective thread. Similarly, towards the bottom of the page is a scroll bar under the sub-heading of 'Forum Jump', where a poster is able to see what every poster present (including guests) on the forum at that particular time is viewing (i.e which particular thread). Muhaha...
