Pick your post 1990s XI with the following criteria...

I’ve not seen this before but would be interested to see who would make your post 90’s 11 with the following criteria:

- 2 players from one international team
- 2 players from either Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Ireland and Zimbabwe
- 1 player from each of the other test playing nations
- Team has to be competitive on all surfaces and formats
- players from the 90’s onward

Akram and Kholi were the easy picks. Really struggled to pick an English player as none are match winners when it comes to ODI but settled on KP as he has had some success in both formats.

Sanga/Warne or Gilchrist/Murali? So tough but in the end I went with Gilly because of how completely revolutionised the keeper batsmen role.

I know IK only played for 2 years in the 90’s but without him I probably would never have followed the game.

Also really wanted Curtly Ambrose in as I feel like I need more pace but the batting would have been significantly weakened by swapping Gayle for the Flower brothers or Alistair Campbell.

I’ve explained why and did win us the WC in 92 but I can understand if most wouldn’t have him in the team..
