PAKISTAN’S Imran Khan has doubled the world record for the longest wait for a run in Test cricket.

http://www.foxsports.com.au/cricket...t/news-story/0afb857d7503644e830af30a9791ddad

The pace bowler, who isn’t related to the legendary former Pakistan captain of the same name, finally got on the board with the bat during the second Test against New Zealand in Hamilton on Sunday.

It was Khan’s first runs in Test cricket, despite making his debut against Australia in October 2014.

This was Khan’s eighth Test match, which is four more than the previous record for the longest wait to score a run in Test cricket (12 players shared the record. In fairness to Khan it was only his fifth innings, and in two of those innings he was unbeaten on nought.

That wasn’t the case on Sunday, as Khan got off the mark with a glide (some would call it a thick edge) through gully for two. The 29-year-old sported a sheepish grin and even raised his bat once he was sure he’d finally got on the scoreboard.

He wasn’t done there, going on to score a whopping six runs before being the last wicket to fall in Pakistan’s innings as they were bowled out for 216, trailing New Zealand by 55 runs.

Good comic relief this as rest of the story is quiet depressing

I'm still mad at this guy because of when and how he got out today

They weren't batting on a flat pitch against tired bowlers.

Pitches don't go from being like Hamilton to being like Dubai in a matter of days. Freaking Southee was swinging it like crazy in the 60th over of the innings.

And why is it that the NZ batsmen found it easy to bat on in the first and second day but on the same second day our batsmen found it be a minefield. LOLOL so in between the innings the grass magically grew out of the pitch??

Send him in before Wahab in future. ;-)
