in his bowling hand. Elite honesty or honest oversight? You decide. #AusVInd

Watch the highlights from around 20 minutes and observe his bowling hand

For the uninitiated - plasters in bowling hands are illegal (as they provide extra grip) though they are (strangely) permitted while fielding.

Oh dear! This is bad. I am not sure if this can be brushed aside as unintentional or anything. It is clear unfair advantage to the bowler.

Yes, bowling with tape on the bowling hand isn't allowed as it provides extra grip. Good catch dani2k

Are there clouds or cataracts on umpire's eyes. When followers of the game can catch this, the persons who are authorized to control the proceedings, what are they doing?

Dickie Bird, David Sheperd, Rudy and others were far better without technology.

Fox sports' tweet about the over - better video quality. And lol the very first shot has a clear view of his plastered right thumb!

My question is that a player at international level - would he not know that this is plain cheating? The black plasters are clearly visible. How did the batsmen miss this as well?! Too tensed? The umpiring was generally good yesterday but still they should not have missed this..

In a match with such thin margins, this act could have had a big impact on the end result. All said and done, glad it wasn't a match with bigger consequences (say a KO of a WC)
