I don't see what the big deal is. Every TV personality puts on make-up, yes your beloved macho Salman Khan too. The only problem here is, they don't have too many behind-the-scene shots taken. This is what makeup looks like when it's not for the TV camera.
Guys like Imran Abbas are known to fill in their beards through make-upand poor old Shoaib is only hiding some black spots. Cut him some slack.
Shoaib is neither an actor and nor a TV personality. The likes of Imran Abbas, Fahad Mustafa, Fawad Khan, Ahsan Khan, Humayun Saeed etc. etc. put on a lot of makeup but it is a requirement of their job. .
Shoaib does not need to look like a vampire and he has never put on so much makeup before. He is looking hideous and needs to sue his makeup artist.
If you had bothered doing some research, you would know he's hosting some Ramzan game show on Geo. And therefore, he certainly IS a TV personality.
The only reason why he looks like a "vampire" is because he's inexperienced and doesn't realize that make up looks different for TV than what it does to a mobile phone camera. Nonetheless, it is a bad makeup job but he isn't the only guy putting on make up.
His Kallis/Vaughan/Bollinger style Advanced Hair Studio hairpiece is almost as bad as his makeup.
Do Dark skinned Pakistani celebs get shunned just like in Bollywood ? Since Pakistan has a higher proportion of fairer skinned people it seems , I suppose colorism would be present ?

That is one way of scaring the Indians into submission.

I find it sad and depressing that the likes of Wasim and Shoaib are either interested in commentating in India or doing entertainment on Pakistani TV or at best punditry but don't want to give something back to Pakistan Cricket in the form of coaching at the lower level's, U-19 levels or at the NCA. Are the $$ opportunities serious low and non-competitive in Pakistan after one's playing days are over?
In my humble opinion, I think he is looking pretty vampirish because of the lights when he was taking the photo. If he would have taken it at distance and sideways, he would seem normal.
Otherwise such powder is normal for hosts. I mean how else does Fahad mustafa become ultra-bright all of sudden and amir liaqat is so fair in his game shows.
Whitening Injections. Permanently fair since last 3-4 years.
Why does everyone make it sound like an obligation that players have to "give back" once they retire ? They gave everything during their playing days , that's good enough for me.
If you look at all the Indian past players going into commentary or coaching, its simple because it's a viable job for them . The commentary, coaching or managerial posts pay well. That is what attracts the quality . None of the past players from other Indian sports go into coaching/commentary like the cricketers, except a few like Gopichand (badminton)or PT.Usha (athletics), who are motivated by the poor state of their sports here.
You can't force everyone to think like that .
Untill International cricket returns, what you can do is to ensure funds are not mismanaged, and develop PSL into a very good and profitable product, so the PCB has enough funds to attract the better talent for coaching .

Actually that's what i feel as well, i don't blame the former players for not giving back to domestic cricket or the U-19 teams because they don't really pay that well, these former players have families to feed and other responsibilities and some of them after having worked so hard, becoming legends and playing for 15-20 years for the country, you can't really blame them for wanting to be paid above market rates.
This is why these former players are only interested in the top most positions i.e. positions in the PCB, national team or NCA as these are the only positions which pay the most compared to domestic cricket.
The PSL is a beautiful thing and already Aqib Javed left the UAE to take up a senior position at Lahore Qalandars where he has his own office and staff and must be being paid a very decent amount with perks and benefits. As the PSL grows and evolves, i am pretty sure it will attract the top most Pakistani legends in terms of pay, benefits and should the PCB coffers grow and they invest heavily in domestic cricket, hopefully the salaries, benefits in domestic cricket, U-19 teams will be solid enough to attract our best legends.

He can apply make up, even sikandar Bakht has to apply some facial but Akhtar needs to apply some tan facial to cope with his dark skin.
He's a pretty good host though.
yeah, was surprised to see his energy, better than waseem, who tend to repeat his lines again and again
Facial is a procedure where your skin gets cleansed, dead skin gets removed and you look fresh & slightly fairer than what you actually are in case of people who aren't fair.
The Creams get removed. They don't stay.
Here foundation/base is applied.
