A treat to watch him bowl, achieved man of the match award for his impressive (6/57) with the ball against UAE U19 today in ACC Men's Asia Cup 2024

Couldn't win the tournament but made a big statement. Abdul Subhan - the future of Pakistan

Finally we are getting some tall guys and moving away from 5 8 and 5 9 midgets. This guy is a real talent, tall and around 83mph and swings the ball. The left armer was also tall and bowled decent pace and not forgetting Ali Raza.

Ahmed is 6.2 and he can also bowl some pacy stuff up to 140k but not in frequently and he run out of gas after his first spell.

It would be bad if PCB didn't afford them an early chance in the national side.

Sufiyan was also an U19 product and come too good for the national side. SSA was also promoted early

You need something extra to be promoted directly from U19 to national side in just 1 season , only Ali Raza seems close to ready other needs time.
Huzaifa guy is only 15 and is a real talent and can play two world cup, he is another one that can be promoted

Not sure if these pacers are U19 in actual age but this trio is definitely the quickest we ever had in U19 team ever , we always used to have one bowler who can clock 140k+

Hufaiza looked absolutely class i was fuming he never played the semis..you are right he is only 15 and will play two world cups but no doubt thr new mgt will play some parchis etc to keep him out. I wanted him to be seen in domestic matches but he is too young

If players are selected as per merit in Pakistan u19 then we might see talent is not that dried up in Pakistan. It is unbelievable that with such population Pakistan is producing such talentless players.

He was the best bowler for Pakistan during the U19 Asia Cup.

Good prospect and should be handled properly.

Was the top wicket taker for Pakistan in last Asia Cup and today as well, he has been brilliant... 2 wickets for him so far in his 9 overs...

This guy is 21 years old as per his official birth date.

How is he playing U-19 even now?
On the official PCB website there’s an Abdul Subhan who plays for PKU19 and was born in December 2007, I guess that’s probably him, he plays for Sialkot (Punjab) though :

Here is the Abbotabad one, born in 2004, but nothing on him having played for the national U19 team, only Abbotabad U19 :

So I guess a case of confusion due to similar names.

OK then. This thread is confusing because the OP refers to the guy from Abbotabad. Maybe needs a different thread for the U-19 guy playing in Asia Cup

Pakistan gets the semi-final spot in the U19 Asia Cup after defeating the UAE by 70 runs courtesy Abdul Subhan's 4-wickets in Dubai.

Wicket taker bowler this guy is.... Some good line length and that extra bounce helping him right...

3 wickets now for him against NZ in U19 super six clash... 3rd and all maidens so far

Every time I watch him he looks class.
Best bowler of our batch. His height and line-length are a big advantage, coupled with that he is very miserly with the ball. Must've bowled the most maidens for us since the Asia Cup lol.

Agreed.

Pick of the bowling attack & hopefully will now graduate to domestic cricket. The height advantage that he has shows against U19 batters, will be nice to see how domestic batters deal with him.

What is his pace like??
I cant get any idea about it watch8ng the game live

Abdul Subhan gets player of the match award for bagging 4 wkts as NZ U19 were bundled out for 110

What is good about him is that he keeps things simple... no fancy stuff... A good line and length, and his height adds extra advantage.

He reminds me of Rao Iftikhar.
An immense talent who cannot be denied.

Certainly a great future prospect for Pakistan..if he can add few more KMPH to his pace he can be lethal . Under 19 pakistan should open the bowling with him against India on Sunday. His opening burst can be game changer

Pretty average. Good at this level but will be OK at best in international cricket.

Ali Raza is a far superior prospect

He has height (which can’t be taught) and he has the type of action where he could, feasibly after a couple of domestic seasons, become a very consistent line and length bowler. That’s great ingredients for a first change Test bowler.

His height is an asset, he bowls a good line and length and gets movement, but I don’t see enough snap. The ball dies on its way to the keeper. If he can up his pace a bit he can be a handful in international cricket, but has a way to go from here

Obviously he’s still probably better than the club level bowlers in our seniors team, but that’s not saying much.

reminds of ehsan adil, similar height, action and movement. needs to up his pace, and bring some variety to his bowling, but has plenty of time to develop.

We will see. He is in that Arshad Iqbal mould but Arshad was a superior prospect.

I expect only Ali Raza from this batch to have a decent international career

Subhan only needs to increase his pace by 5k in order to become Test match bowler. Has got all the ingredients of a good test bowler.

He ran through Nz batting lineup on a dead track with no pace or bounce or movement.
