Abdullah Fazal is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for Rawalpindiz. Fazal is a left-handed opening batter. He was born in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Fazal has played senior domestic cricket for Karachi Region Blues, Higher Education Commission, State Bank of Pakistan, Karachi Region Whites and Rawalpindiz.

Today he is making his debut for the Pakistan Test side against Bangladesh. Hopefully, he can provide much-needed stability to the Pakistan top order.

Comes out to bat now and looking quite good so far... on 9* atm...

He should be opening with Azan Awais. Pakistan are wasting a spot by picking Imam.

Decent inns so far, seems a good temperament. A lot tougher tests will come

Okish player with questionable temperament, played too many lose shot against mighty BD bowlers on a flat track.

He hung on. He has release shots as well, so it will be fun to watch him on Day 3 if he survives the 1st hour.

Should have done a better job than this... Threw his wicket away, but a well-compiled 60 on debut

6th Pakistan player to score 2 50+ scores in their very first Test match

Great going man... carry on

I have seen him enough to conclude that this guy is not ready for test cricket yet , he’s got talent sure but temperament is just not there at the moment.

He likes to take on bowlers.. good quality to have... Better to play a guy like him than Shan and Imam

He will likely to get out after scoring cute 20s and 30s more often than not.

This test match he is super lucky to not get out earlier in both innings.

Well. He has scored runs. Not gonna drop him after 1 game like we did with many other players in the past... Give them atleast 4-5 games...

Luck often happens to all players in their significant inning, part and parcel of the game. Has shown tremendous ability to score runs and good temperament to balance defence and attack giving Pakistan chance to chase the total.

Bro played a nothing shot on Day 2... It was a start... Could have left that ball easy... Bad shot...

After back-to-back fifties in the first Test, 2 single-digit scores now for him in the 2nd test...

This guy needs to grind atleast 3 seasons of FC in order to get test match level temperament and it’s not that we don’t have better players than him in domestic cricket.

Why they don’t go with Mohsin Riaz who is a vastly superior FC player than him? He’s got super reflexes against high pace and uses his feet against spinner too.

He did well in 1st Test. Scored 60 and 66.

He flopped in 2nd Test (6 and 9).

I think he should get more chances. His FC stats are good.

21 FC games 34 AVG.... Not sure about him atm.... Abdullah has better stats than both of the guys you mentioned...
Stats shouldn’t be the only criteria for young developing players and by that logic Shamyl Hussain should get the nod over Abdullah Fazal because he has better stats in every format but we all know he is also not ready however Shazaib and Mohsin recent season stats are better and they pass the eye test for talent as well.

Shamyl has shown his form as well.. but they gave Abdullah priority. They must be thinking something we cannot think of...

Shamyl doesn't have the same intensity for the international level that he does in our domestic. Seems a bit of a softie.

He's definitely still a work in progress in red ball cricket but to me he is more white-ball cricket player.
