I am sure PSL is the crown jewel of Pakistan cricket but during a series, with the match a day or so away, is there any need for national squad players to be in attendance? Should they not be busy with the rest of their squad planning and preparing?

Just seems odd to me.

Not a big deal if these losers were attending the auction. A typical training session does not last longer than 4-5 hours & you have off days as well.

PSL will eat into pakistan home season and i dont like it. We can play a test series in that time. These leagues lose its charm after a few seasons especially when not the best talent in the world participate.

0-2 series gone, 3rd Test could be lost - our first Test whitewash at home. I would say at this time, the only visuals we need is our players practicing not having a great time.

This is the only window available to the PCB. The other option is to find a window in the summers or around Sept-Oct which will prevent a clash with the IPL but will clash with international cricket?

Also it is important for the captains to attend the draft. There will be no excuses in the event of a poor season "I did not have a say in the draft"

what will they do by preparing now? the work is all supposed to be done months and weeks before, anyone who has ever done anything remotely challenging knows if u need to prepare on the penultimate day you pbly haven't prepared hard enough beforehand.

Also seem security protocols are discarded as well otherwise why would below be a problem?

It seems that some players wanted to have dinner out on Saturday night as there is no restriction on their movement from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), however were not allowed due to security protocols in place.
