More than irrelevant, anyone has kept as regularly as he has for as long as he has would be doing it by second nature.

You see far more cases of keepers knocking the bails off when the batsmen is clearly in than keepers not breaking the stumps when the batsmen isn't in.

I was baffled too by this! Remember, the first instance belongs to a match that Quetta lost by one run, a run that could´ve been saved had he ran out Shadab.

Now Quetta face the possibility of finishing as the third team and hence not playing the first qualifier. These little things mean so much in T20 cricket.

This proves he isnt a good keeper. A good keeper keeps on reflexes. Now dhoni had soo good reflexes tbat even if he was standing away from the stumps he would throw the ball at it without looking and still get it right. And he would do it quickly.

I don´t think though that there was anything "suspicious" in either instances. Casting doubts on mistakes by other cricketers based on what a few have done not only is fair on others, but also defeats the very purpose of us following a sport.

To me, it is just a case of a very average keeper not being alert up to the very usual standards.

have to say I agree. how is it not made clear to him that missing breaking the stumps is not an option after the first time it happens? doesn't help that judging by the comments and energy in the field, he is working with a team of intellectual thickos.
