Is this a covid reason? Travelodge is one of the lowest end budget chain hotels. In normal circumstances, this would be considered quite demeaning so I hope there is a legitimate reason for this.

Yes.

England only has four grounds with built-in hotels. The Biosecure Bubble prevents the players from leaving the complex until they end the tour.

Old Trafford and Southampton are hosting the West Indies, which left Worcester and Derby. The hotel in Worcester was just as bad!
 
A travelodge for 2 weeks sounds really grim. Might be bearable if everyone gets their own room.

Actually this is how Uruguay came 4th at the 2010 World Cup and then won the 2011 Copa America.

They spent three weeks before the World Cup at a 2 star hotel in Kimberley, a cold and remote little South African team.

The players and management bonded, and the lack of alternative activities meant that they spent every waking hour training and developing tactics.
 
Dont think Travelodge is an issue if the same arrangements are made for everyone including board members

Iftikhar Ahmed is EASILY in his 40s. He doesn't even remotely look like he's in his 30s.
 
Seems like Younis is taking some of the fielding drills as well.

Ifti doesn't look a day over 45
 
Wahab looks like he's aged about 20 years, and put on a big of weight.

Faheem is prominently placed in batting and bowling, makes me think he'll likely play in the first game.

Even with all this hard work and practise in the conditions for 6 weeks before the first match, I really would not be surprised to be bowled out for 150 on the first morning. I really hope they prove me wrong.

This his why I had hoped they could’ve possibly worked out an arrangement with Ireland to play a test match prior to the England series.

No reasons for not selecting Haider Ali can be given. Just a half minute clip and we can all see how he is easing into those drives playing like an experienced test batsman. He should definitely debut ahead of Fawad alam and take Haris Sohails place.

Dont think they will play haider in tests tbh hopefully he plays in the intra matches and get some runs

Why. If they want to maximize their chances of winning they should play their best and in form players, young or old doesnt matter.

He needs to know how to build an ininings if hes going to try play positive then he needs to bat down the order with the tail and slowly push him up for example today he had perfect chances to play long ininings
 
As mentioned before by seeing other pics, really impressed with how Hasnain has worked on his fitness and looking really lean.

Good to see Mushy working with Shadab, he really needs to build back his rhythm and confidence.
 
Fascinating to watch Mushtaq supervising Shadab. If Shadab can’t improve in eight weeks with Mushtaq than he doesn’t deserve Misbah’s trust.

Hasnain has almost as much First Class experience as Wasim Akram and Shaheen Shah Afridi when they exploded into Test cricket.

He’s got eight weeks with Waqar here. He needs to make it count.
 
I see minor changes in Pakistan bowlers bowling action especially fahim ashraf ,musa khan, usman khan, nasim shah.Hopefully it works for them

Hopefully he improves wasim shah action and the load on his back if he keeps him fit he can be right up thier with the est

I hope he is given a chance in the upcoming warm up match. I’m sure with his height will be lethal if bowled in the right areas. Can be added as fourth seamer if Shadab is playing. If he doesn’t perform then to me it looks like Sohail Khan will get the chance as fourth seamer as he got a 5 for in the last warm up game.
 
I hope rohail, Hasnain and kashif gets the chance to play in the warm up game. If rohail gets a fifty or a ton it will be hard to reason out his departure so keeping that in mind Misbah might not give him a chance.

They've already decided Rohail will be sent home. Doubt he'll play.

He is very articulate in english. Watch his interview that he has given to sky sports on youtube. In urdu he definitely struggles but still delivers the core message.
