[PICTURES/VIDEOS] How does Virat Kohli get away with these sorts of performances?

Now I understand why Virat Kohli chases every other ball outside the off stump lol

He did that again during the 1st inning of 1st test match against Bangladesh.

Kohli’s interview with Gambhir was longer than Kohli’s innings today. He should do interviews. Has a bright future there.

You pick up bad habits. IT happens in cricket. But it shouldn't take more than 3 years to address the issue. Tendulkar as soon as he identified his coverdrive shot was the problem he cut out that shot in his famous SCG double century. Scored 186 runs out of 241 througthe onside. Not a single boundary of cover drive. Kohli had that kind of discipline. Not anymore. He has far too many external distractions. IPL, family, fanbase, advertisement. travelling, He doesn't care working on it like he did in 2013/14.

Should be discarded with immediate effect along with us moron fans. Quit tests asap.

I don't care odbhe averaged 50 in SA. He won't survive in aus with this terrible technique.

Chasing mostly in bi-lateral series however yes he is better in chasing only

Yet another failure. Kohli sadly is a passenger for a long time now.

We will still need him in Australia, but this superstar immunity needs to go. He is no longer a must have in the team.

Every athlete's career reaches a crossroads where physical and mental fatigue sets in, often after achieving unparalleled success.

Virat Kohli must rediscover his inner drive and hunger to propel him forward.

Because he has nothing left to prove to young kids coming up and dissing him at the fag end of his career.

Averaged 55 last year in Tests. This year, he is playing his 2nd test only.
Yea in SA. Doesn't change the fact that he sucked for the last 4 years. Acting too smart by skipping duleep etc. They are too scared to drop him.

He has nothing left to prove but that doesn't mean free rides are given.

He's been rubbish for a while now and happened to click at the perfect time in a final despite being a passenger for most of the event.

He's a gun player but his time is up, India isn't doing any favours by taking rohit and kohli in ct 2025. They'll be even more aged and more inconsistent then before.

Rohit
Virat
Bumrah
Jadeja
Ashwin

All skipped Duleep trophy.

Ashwin played TN t20

Jadeja performed

Rohit is saved cause he is captain but he should be kicked out too. He is clearly past it.

Virat is finished. He can play on flat and bouncy wickets. But not on spin and swing friendly conditions.

Bang average Test batsman from 2011 to 2014.

Bang average Test batsman from 2019 to date.

A great of the game based on just 3-4 excellent years of Test cricket out of 15+ years of career?

Joe Root and Steve Smith are his daddies in Test cricket.

Test is the weakest format of Kohli.

Still better than Nepalese Babar and one of the greats of the game based on some great TEST and ODI innings.

Bit rich to say he was bang average in test cricket from 2011-14 when he scored 7 tons in SENA during that phase. Many ATGs don't score that many in SENA in their whole career

Post 2019 he was very mediocre !

Kohli is there to make money for BCCI. That's it. His popularity is unrivalled. So they need him out there.

Not really. Allowing veterans a free pass even when they are well past their prime is an age old problem in Indian cricket. Kapil Dev, Ganguly , Tendulkar , Dhoni did the same thing

The only exception was Sunil Gavaskar. He left at the peak of his career

Will turn 36 in November, probably 2 years of test cricket left.
Hope he performs in his final tour of Australia, thats where he first reached stardom in tests.

BCCI should show him doors like PCB did to Babar Azam. No one is bigger than game...

Ball is still doing a lot. Seems like it is never going to stop. India always runs into NZ in these conditions lol

INdia won the toss. They could have elected to bat and let Bumrah enjoy these conditions. But no...

(topic) India has a culture of hero worship. BCCI will never drop him till King Kohli himself decides to retire and he will not retire till Champions Trophy, WTC finals and maybe another attempt at ODI world cup.

Virat Kohli equaled an undesirable record by getting out for a duck (zero runs) for the 38th time in international cricket, sharing the record for the most ducks among active cricketers with New Zealand's Tim Southee.

Kohlis worst format is Test.

Naturally he will deteriorate faster in this format.

Hard to see how he can retain his place for Border Gavaskar if he keeps getting single digit scores.

Same level as Inzamam and Yousuf in Test cricket. Nowhere near Younis and Miandad.

Pakistani fans, players and ex-players have no reason to be in awe of Kohli.

2 minutes silence for the guy who used to hype Kohli at his peak making claims that,

1. He is GOAT Asian test captain with 38 or some 40 wins( he knew the exact figure).
2. Better batsman than anyone Pakistan has ever produced.
3. A certain Younis Khan not fit enough to tie his shoelace because Kohli hit 4 tons in Australia at a young age while Khan who was playing from 15 years didn’t had one.

And many more.

YK is superior to Kohli in test cricket.

Kohli in test only had a purple patch at one point.

Please don't derive kohli narratives for no reason. He's known for his odi exploits.

In t20 he just okay even at peak, and inntest barring that purple patch he was just okay. No one told him to drop his avg below 50 in test.

Australia tour will be Virat's biggest test. If he can't score runs in Australia then he is well and truly finished.

Your Mamoon derived that narrative.
Lol, Abfan was posting comments made by him earlier before he had a brain surgery.

Pakistan took a bold step to drop Babar Azam now its time for India to do the same with Virat Kohli.

Rohit Sharma reaction on Virat Kohli's wicket in 2nd innings of 1st Test against New Zealand

Rohit's reaction is saying it all

Yet another failure for the OLD KING that too against a spinner once again.

Virat Kohli vs spin in Asia since 2021

That too on a full toss. He has been horrible against spin

He needs to find a second wind a La Tendulkar 2007-2011, else it's curtains.

A bang average Test batsman. Rapidly relegating to the VVS & Ganguly category.

Smith and Root are a million miles away now.

Kohli can't do what Laxman did vs Aus for a decade.

He is in the MS Dhoni/Gautam Gambhir category at best.

Laxman only averaged 46 though, and it appears that Kohli is going to end his career with a similar average.

Any middle-order Test batsman than ends his career with a below 50 average cannot be counted amongst the greats.

Should have been curtains on his test career at least 2 years ago, assuming the long rope given to him 2 before 2022.

He should retire before his Test average drops below 40. An absolute clown show. A poor series in Australia and it should be all over for him if it isn’t already.

Surprise drop him for the 3rd test like Pakistan dropped Babar.

He'll probably see it as 5 free extra days with Anushka.

Virat's poor form resulted in him getting dragged out of the top 10 batters in the Latest ICC rankings update. He is now at number 14 spot.

If BCCI has any brains, they will drop him for Australia. He is a walking wicket.

Virat Kohli Set to Return as RCB Captain For IPL 2025: Report

Batting superstar Virat Kohli has reportedly held talks with his IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru to be reappointed as their captain for the next season. Kohli stepped down from the role ahead of the IPL 2022 and was succeeded by South African Faf du Plessis. Since the inception of IPL in 2008, RCB have made the finals on three occasions, but each time finished as the runners-up.

Kohli led RCB from 2013 to 2021 before quitting. However, the franchise has turned back to their talisman as per a report in The Times of India with 40-year-old Du Plessis nearing the end of his playing career. Under Kohli, the team made it to the final in 2016 but was bested by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the title clash.

Virat again falling prey to a spinner.

How much failure is okay for batter...should be left out of the team .he is washed up

A bang average Test cricketer who is turning out to be a complete clown now.

That run out saved him because he was going to perish to a spinner any time. At least now his fans can say that he got unlucky.

He firmly belongs in the league of mediocre Test batsmen like Laxman and Ganguly now, which is one step above frauds like Dhoni and one step below the likes of Inzamam and Yousuf.

I bet Gambhir can bat better than him in Test cricket right now with just a couple of weeks of net practice.

I don't know what he wants to achieve in Test cricket from here. He averages just a shade above 48 now. This is when he used to average above 54 at one point. He looked like a machine pre 2019. Unfortunately, his feet of clay has been revealed now.

If I were him, I'd immediately retire from Tests after the series in Australia.

At one point, Kohli was on track to be the first player to end his career with average over 50s in all 3 formats. Now it seems he won't make that in 2 formats as well.

AB de Villiers now remains the only retired Batsmen averaging over 50 in both ODIs and Tests.

He has mentally checked out of India and cricket sometime around Covid.

Just going through the motions.

What's happened to the Kohlster? Run out this time along with low scores. Still having marriage problems?
