[PICTURES/VIDEOS] Yashasvi Jaiswal - Outstanding Indian batter

Long breaks can cause scratchiness. Hope he comes out of this quick enough. He is not quiet the same when it comes to timing.

Yashasvi Jaiswal To Leave Mumbai Cricket, To Captain Goa From Next Season: Reports

Yashasvi Jaiswal has reportedly decided to switch domestic allegiance from Mumbai to Goa from the 2025-26 season in what could be termed one of the most remarkable developments in the recent history of Indian domestic cricket. According to The Indian Express, the left-handed batter emailed the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on Tuesday seeking a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the switch.

“He has sought a NOC from us and has cited that the reason for his move to Goa as personal," the newspaper cited a source in the MCA as saying.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is playing for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025, and on Thursday (April 24) the left-handed batter entered his name in the history books by becoming the first cricketer in the world to hit six on the first ball of an innings of an IPL match on three occasions.

He may be a brilliant batsmen but he drops more catches than he takes and not surprisingly clueless Indian fans don’t want to talk about it and want to blame every other thing. They also haven’t figured out why India were trophyless in ICC tournaments for 10 straight years when scam was right infront of their eyes that whole time.

In this innings jaiswal dropped catches of pope who later scored 100 and harry brook.

He’s been a serial match loser for India in Tests in recent times.

Jaiswal is the overall best batsmen in the current Indian team across all formats and conditions. Although I think he hasn't played ODIs yet?

He played one match and scored 15.rohit is not letting any one. After 6 months, I think both rohit and kohli have to vacate their spots.

Yashasvi Jaiswal became the joint fastest Indian cricketer to score 2000 Test runs during the second Test against England at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Wednesday.

Jaiswal completed his milestone in 40 innings, joining Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid in the list.

It is impossible to go shaw's way as he achieved nothing in his career
Agree, Shaw did not do anything special in his short career. Yeah he started of well at home but struggled after that. Jaiswal has now consistently done well in various conditions. He has good technique as well. Shaw had a huge technical flaw which he never corrected and he was an unfit player as well.

Time for Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli to retire from Odi as well .

Jaiswal
Abhishek/ Sai
Gill

This should be top 3 for 2027 world Cup

:kp

Barring injuries, Jaiswal will play 100+ Tests, score 10k+ runs and 30+ centuries.

He will go down as the greatest Indian Test opener alongside Gavaskar and Sehwag.

Most Test runs for India at 23 age:

Sachin Tendulkar - 3617.

Yashasvi Jaiswal - 2061*.

King of soft runs.

Hits an inconsequential century in the beginning of the series and then goes missing on long tours.

He should go back to his hut and sell gol gappe for rest of his life.
Attitude of bradman and performance of chris martin.
What a loser.

First tour. It is going to be up and down for a while especially as an opeenr. Can't treat middle order batsman and opener on the same scale.

Test Ranking - 5th.
T20I Ranking - 10th.

YASHASVI JAISWAL IS THE ONLY CRICKETER TO BE IN TOP 10 IN BOTH TESTS & T20I

Jaiswal just scored his 7th Test hundred, against West Indies... WHat a knock it is..

Hundreds by India's openers since Jaiswal's debut
7 Yashasvi Jaiswal
6 All others combined

Test Ranking - 5th.
T20I Ranking - 10th.

YASHASVI JAISWAL IS THE ONLY CRICKETER TO BE IN TOP 10 IN BOTH TESTS & T20I
His discipline issues are the only obstacle to his path to super stardom. Hope he checks his tantrums and develop better work ethics during team trainings.

Congratulations on test century #7

Clearly being groomed for the longest format by BCCI and must score cat least 8k test runs for India. Ideally, a lot more given his talent but we have seen how similarly gifted South Indian batters like Vijay, Rahul etc disappointed, all showing a strange lack of batting pedigree and dominant alpha male personality.

Immense talent this kid..yet he can’t get in the limited overs teams. That’s how much depth India possess.

He's not far away. A few months more at the most. The selectors have already taken the captaincy off Rohit. If he doesn't keep his dignity by retiring after the Australia series, the selectors will force the issue. They need to give Jaiswal the time to settle into the role for the next World Cup.

From everything I know of Rohit, there's no way he doesn't see the signals. He'll go out on his own terms and we'll see Jaiswal in limited overs. He's got a decent chance in T20s as well but that's a more complicated path.

I’m depressingly jealous how someone as good and talented as Jaiswal can’t even make India’s limited overs sides. It seems insane a team can be that strong enough to leave someone like him out.

Having said that while India don’t need him, I think he probably makes the limited overs side on merit too, there are players there currently who are good but not better than him, so expect him to return there.

I think rohit is fairly thick skin.he does not want to retire from eng test series at first.few players have said he was planning to travel to eng on june 6.selectors have to tell him he is no more an automatic choice. Then he sort of came down. Now as he went lipo and looking fit , he will definitely wants to drag till the end with his pr army.

YASHASVI JAISWAL IS ONLY BEHIND SACHIN TENDULKAR IN TERMS OF MOST TEST HUNDREDS AT 23 AGE

Nah...the fact that he retired from T20s immediately after a sensational T20 World Cup in which he was likely Batter of the Tournament shows that he has a sense of the occasion. He rested himself in Australia and played under Hardik without a single passive aggressive insta post.

I'm confident that he'll step down when it's time.

I dont want to trust a captain who has not resigned after a shameful whitewash. He was one of the main culprit too.He was a burden in bgt too.even then he has not bothered about retirement. Let's see how it goes .I feel jaiswal will definitely gets one chance in aus series. If he performs, its curtains for rohit.

Only Don Bradman has more 150-plus scores in Tests than Yashasvi Jaiswal before turning 24

King of cut shots
