Very impressive from him in this game for PZ v IU - good foil for Haris

Looks ordinary was lucky not to get out on a golden duck today...Azam dropped a dolly

Agreed he doesn't look anything special but he shouldn't have been dropped after a couple of games.

He looks a good prospect hopefully continues to develop he was unfairly dropped after two games.

Promotional video for Peshawar:

Started ok, played a couple of nice shots but then he got bogged down.

Did well for PZ last year. Should be given a good chance and license to attack. PSL is only useful if Pak players get the chance to play and contribute in the key positions. Omair bin Yousaf should also get a look in.

I assume he needs more chances and as Quetta seem to have run out of time, they might as well let him play the rest of the games - could improve.

This is his dismissal.

20 year old?

Looks much older.

Another with no birth certificate perhaps.

107 off 59 Balls with 8 Fours & 8 Sixes.

Yasir Khan scored brilliant hundred against FATA in National T20 Cup 2023.

He needs a good PSL season and he will be right in the mix. The guy has real power, just needs lots of opportunities against good opposition and we will see if he has a future

ESPN says he is 24 and soon to be 25 in April.

14 sixes in this National T20 cup so far in 5 matches. That's pretty impressive and he looks fairly aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Need to see a bit more of him to get a decent sample size of his performance but so far so good.

Well, we do some time make fun of Bcci but notice they do give every chance to their young lot. We need to do the same. And a youngster like Yasir could be the difference maker.

Majority of the quality shots were against spin and only one good one against pace.

Not enough to go gaga over him.
Certainly, there was more than 1 good shot against the pacers but yes there is no need to go mad over his 1 innings. Consistency with such form should be more of a focus here instead of just 1 good inning.

Yasir Khan played a stunning innings of 87*(52) to help Rawalpindi chase down 164 against Sialkot in National T20 Cup 2023.

He is now the highest run-scorer of the tournament (298 runs) with the most sixes (21).

Argh, he got out for a duck today. This match was televised, as was hoping to see him crack a big one on TV.

yasir khan from bannu and the one from pindi are both seperate i think

Ok this is abit interesting,

There are two Yasir Khans
- Both born on 13th april
- Yasir Khan of Rawalpindi was born in Rawalpindi on April 13th 1999
- Yasir Khan of Bannu (PSL guy) was born in Bannu on April 13th 2002

Further more, here are the images of both.

theres pbly also some yasir khan who trialled with peshawer born in 1996 somehere, lol

In the NationalT20 he was going at a SR of 150+
It's sad to see him play so slow
A lot of his boundaries were edges and balls there were on his legs and glanced for 4
He didn't impress today tbh

Blistering start by Yasir as he is playing with a good strike rate on a difficult track, he is playing on 42 off 25 deliveries.

Nice to see Yasir pick up. After the next 3-4 games, he had one of the slowest SR's in the PSL. Since then:

43 (37)
33 16)
12 (11)
54 (37)

Good comeback from him

In a post-match interview following the qualifier against Peshawar Zalmi, Yasir Khan said:

"Thankfully, we have made it to the Finals of this PSL 9. As you know for the past two years we have reached the finals but this time we will try to win the title."

"First and foremost I want to express my gratitude to the management for believing in my skills. One thing I'd like to highlight is that yesterday I had a conversation with Babar Azam in the hotel. I asked him that i am not able to play any big innings for the third consecutive year and he advised me to rotate the strike more often and Alhamdulillah his guidance paid off today."

"In the national T20 I finished on 4th position and also scored a century which boosted my confidence for this PSL."

"If you visit us at our hotel you will see that we all gel together very well in a friendly environment. Rizwan bhai brings everyone together and supports everyone regardless of seniority. This environment contributes to our positive results."

"Whenever Rizwan bhai and I step onto the crease he always says Whatever happens only happens with the will of Allah so we just focus on playing positive cricket leaving the results in the hands of Allah. This mindset consistently helps us achieve positive outcomes."

Yasir Khan played a savage innings of 104(50) today in the ongoing Ramadan cricket tournament. He was playing for HB Lal against Khawar Properties.

A 33-ball half-century! Stallions' Yasir Khan reaches his first fifty of the PCB Champions T20 Cup 2024 in the final against the Markhors.

Stallions' opening batter Yasir Khan delivered a stunning century on the big stage of the PCB Champions T20 Cup final, scoring 100 off just 57 balls before being dismissed against the Markhors.

Proper sixes! They were sixes on any ground in the world!

He's got some decent numbers from the previous National T20 cups.

Should have started the tournament for Multan Sultans.

Looks promising. He deserves to be called up for Pakistan.

Pakistan opening slots looking good all of a sudden

Fakhar

Yasir Khan
Harris
Nawaz

I have a feeling Rizwan was trying to hog the limelight from him by not playing him. Shai Hope’s runs wouldn’t matter and Rizwan can try to make the only claim from MS.

Wow another talented player , excellent Pakistan needs option and plenty of options

This kid has got some power in his body to be able to hit so that's pretty good.

Yasir Khan at the post-match presentation:

"I want to thank Allah. I’ve worked really hard for this day, and I’m glad I could contribute in a crucial win for the team. Performances like this don’t happen overnight—there’s a lot of hard work and practice behind it, and today it paid off.

This is my natural game. I back myself when going down the ground and over mid-wicket, and I stuck to my strengths. It’s never easy, but with patience and preparation, you can seize your moment. My favourite shot was the flick over mid-wicket off Shaheen—that one felt special."

Yasir Khan needs to leave MS. Rizwan will make him rot. No one should be fooled by his theatrics when he tries to portray himself as a saint. He's a very cunning individual.

Yasir Khan has some good ingredients for a t20 batter. High bat speed, can generate power even with a straight bat.

Seems like Rizwan is getting a push from the management as well to start quickly which was evident today.

Good. I hope he's practicing his offside game and realises he has no entitlement to be batting anywhere in the top or middle order unless he can improve his shot range, otherwise there's no way he'll be able to score at a good tempo on a consistent basis.

Bro he’s doing the same old crap that will cost his team at international level

Doesn’t even look to attack in his first 10-13 balls. He will swing at the ones on his pads or hips otherwise he’s just looking for singles (in the powerplay). Then he will look to double up with a couple of boundaries and then back to his little singles searching.

He’s not fooling anyone who knows how he operates.

This is the first emerging player I’ve noticed in this PSL who possesses both strength and technique. His sixes and boundaries were effortless, showcasing pure class. There is no short of talent just poor system and incompetent management.

I’m surprised that he wasn’t in the team from the get go.

Exactly. I have hardly seen him hit sixes anywhere else other than this tulla shot over mid wicket.

It's far too late for him at this stage of his career to become a proficient offside player. Just hide him down the order before the tail enders come in. Everyone is sick and tired of his theatrics, when the fraud has no performances to show for it.

I doubt he's going to be able to develop his offside game at this stage of his career. He is a reactive batter. And his t20i career is over already. If he can be consistently hungry to score quicker runs and take chances in ODIs and bat at no.5, then that'll be good. But i like the urgency in his game today. It was probably the first time when he tried going after the bowlers early on. He needs to bring that side in his ODI game.

Much better than Hassan Nawaz. I guess Pak is playing next t20 series vs Ireland, Him and Farhan should ideally open. Whosoever performs, should be part of WI series and World t20.

Agree with top 5.

Lots of openers are fighting for the spot atm and Yasir is the latest entry. With fakhar and saim back from injury and Fakhar doing well also, farhan also making a comeback I think, and last night, Yasir's knock has made thing interesting.

Who is gonna open incase all of these guys made it???

Fakhar
farhan
saim
yasir???

To help our friend @gazza619 , one of another KPK player from 33 list.

He seems to have a lot of power in his shots and seems to be a clean hitter. My only concern—is he a leg-side hack? I’m sure you guys know by now that leg-side hacks don’t last long at the international level. I didn’t see much in terms of off-side or straight shots from him in that innings.
P.S. I only watched the highlights. I could be wrong but nevertheless promising player.

That’s not a top 5

That’s 5 options for top 2
Which Nazaw ? the pathetic players from Lyya ? who can't stay for an over , how long he will be mentioned after that fluke inning in NZL ?

Yasir looks like a much better player than other tullabaaz players.
