Determining the strongest squad for PSL 11 (2026) involves analyzing team compositions and player strengths. Quetta Gladiators are considered strong with a balanced mix of batsmen, all-rounders, and bowlers. Islamabad United, a three-time champion, also has a formidable lineup with players like Shadab Khan and Naseem Shah. Lahore Qalandars, led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, is another contender, being the defending champion. Ultimately, the strength of a squad can depend on how well the players perform during the tournament.

Quetta gladiators or Islamabad united

I think hydrebad, they have saim, maaz, irfan niazi, kusal perera, shayan jahangir, hassan khan and if you want you can add usman khan too. Without usman khan theyve formidable top 6. Now bowling wise, they've akif javed, muhammad ali both alright include with them riley meredith. Hassan khan bowls spin, they need another spinner which maybe from names i dont know.

They are all same to me. No one really dominated. Everyone is either a spinner short, no attacking pace bowler, or lack of all rounders.

LQ: Good Fast bowling attack, issue with spin attack as they needed an attacker spinner . Batting wise really good but no lower order hitter

PZ: Made the same mistake as they have done for the last 4 seasons. They dont have a singel attacking pacer, all the pacers they carry are 3rd bowling options or not developed. Ali Raza cant be ur main bowler, nor can Amir Jamal or Khurram. They also added Kashid Ali who is also a 3rd option bowler. No opening bowler basically. Probably the best lower order batting with Iftikhar, Samad, Aamir Jamal and even Bracewell. Had they bought good pacers, they would had been the best squad. SHould had gone for DDahni and Hasnain

IU: Spinner sucks. Bowling option is good with Joseph, Hasnain, Sameen Gul, Wasim Jr and Faheem. Faheem was a great pick. No local batting talent. Due to their lack of quality spinners, cant rate them high.

KK: If Ihsanullah clicks, him and abbas can be deadly, along with Shahid Aziz and have heard good tuff on Khuzaima. Batting wise they look craap. They could have gone for batters and should have added Imad Wasim as they have no local spinners. Should had taken Arif Yaqoob, he knows karachi wickets better than anyone else. Batting wise should had avoided Saad Baig and when for local u19 talents.

QG: Best spinner is with them, great batting like up with Hassan, Usman, Rossow, Arafat, and than Faisal is there with ABrar as spinners. THey even have Nafay, bismmillah is a decent keeper. Only issue is pace bowling. The have tom Curran, but a pacer could had been added

SS: Their pace attack is good with Salman and Daniyal. Upper order is strong with Sahibzada, Smith and having Saad Masood aswell. Maybe in the middle and lower roder they will face issues as they alck batting their, and Nawaz is a very good spin option

HHK: Irfan, Maaz and Hassan are very good lower order batters. Bowling attack is good with Akif and Hunain Shah and Asif Mehmood (Hasand Alis cousin). Spinner not there with maaz havin to bowl. Focussed too much on USA imporats that weakened their bowling. Their upper order with Saim and Usman are good. Perera is also a good pick so was Shayan.

Pindi: Asif Afridi and Risahd makes them a good spin attack. Pace bowling with Naseem aint that good, but Ammad Butt is a good otion. Batting wise they didnt get too many hitters. KG, Rizwan bat same, Billings and Uasir Khan can attack.

Final ranking:

QG
HHK
IU

Pindi

I am having difficulty in rating:
KK
LQ
SS
PZ

I know for a fact that it is not Hyderabad. Rest have a chance. Even Pindi.

On paper though. Islamabad, Lahore and Quetta look strong.

Ceratainly hope its not Lahore, Peshawar or Islamabad where a majority of our rotten core plays

it is clear that Babar, Rizwan, Shaheen, Haris and Shadab are not the future of Pakistan - if merit had prevailed they would've been dropped at least 2 years ago

Dunno much about team combinations,
heck being indian i don't even follow IPL....but i ❣️ peshawar Zalmi, beautiful name ....my grandfather lived in that area for long time, so my fav is the Zalmi legends....go Zalmi !🔥💎🏆💥✌️

Zalmi need 1 win

Multan 2

Islamabad 2

Karachi 3

And that will knock Pindiz out.

Every team who qualifies has a bit of weakness it will depend on who plays best in play offs Islamabad can reach final.

Karachi, 18 April 2026:

The HBL Pakistan Super League 11 has seen a total of 26 matches till 17 April with Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators and Hyderabad Kingsmen having played seven matches each. Multan Sultans, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars and Rawalpindiz have so far played six matches each.

Out of the remaining 14 league matches, five are set to be played at Gaddafi Stadium with Quetta, Lahore, Karachi and Peshawar set to be in action there. At the National Bank Stadium in Karachi, the remaining nine league matches will be played till the 26 April double-header.

The Qualifier between the top two teams will be played on 28 April at the National Bank Stadium. The third and fourth-placed teams will then lock horns in Eliminator 1 on 29 April in Lahore. The losing team of the Qualifier and winner of the Eliminator 1 will be pitted against each other on 1 May in Eliminator 2 in Lahore as well to decide the second finalist.

The final of the HBL PSL 11 between the winners of the Qualifier and Eliminator 2 will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Sunday, 3 May.

Following is the breakdown of how all the teams fare before the playoffs and final:

8. Rawalpindiz: The newcomers to the HBL PSL have lost all their six matches and are out of the playoffs race. For them the remaining four matches are a great opportunity to finish the season on a high. For three of the four oppositions those matches could carry a lot of importance with respect to qualification so the Rawalpindiz can play spoilsport if they win some.

Upcoming fixtures: v LQ on 18 April, v MS on 21 April, v IU on 23 April, v HK 26 April

Top run scorer so far: Sam Billings – 188 runs

Top wicket-taker so far: Mohammad Amir – 8 wickets

7. Lahore Qalandars: The defending champions have beaten Hyderabad Kingsmen and Multan Sultans so far with the latter being a 13-over rain-hit affair. Three of their four losses have come in Karachi, where they have been bowled out for 100 in 18.3 overs, 97 in 17 overs and 134 in 19.5 overs.

At the same turf, they now face the prospect of a must-win match today against Rawalpindiz before flying out to face Quetta, Karachi and Peshawar in Lahore. Winning all four games promises a total of 12 points, which will certainly ensure a fourth place at least. Losing even one of the games will almost force them out albeit a tie of 10 points with any of the teams enters into a net run rate battle and theirs is currently -1.020.

Upcoming fixtures: v RP on 18 April, v QG on 21 April, v KK on 23 April, v PZ on 25 April

Top run scorer so far: Haseebullah – 123 runs

Top wicket-taker so far: Shaheen Shah Afridi – 11 wickets

6. Karachi Kings: The 2020 champions have blown hot and cold in their six matches. They beat Quetta, Lahore and Rawalpindiz to open their campaign with confidence in Lahore, but then lost to Peshawar, Hyderabad and Islamabad in Karachi. They were also without captain David Warner in the last two games who sat out with back pain.

In ascending order on the table, Karachi Kings (-1.501 NRR), Hyderabad Kingsmen (-0.470 NRR) and Quetta Gladiators (+0.483) are three teams tied on six points but separated by net run rate. Karachi can gain a maximum of 14 points but for that they will have to beat Multan, Peshawar, Lahore and Quetta. In that case, Karachi will upend Lahore and Quetta’s prospects and automatically be above Kingsmen.

Upcoming fixtures: v MS on 19 April, v PZ on 22 April, v LQ on 23 April, v QG on 25 April

Top run scorer so far: Azam Khan – 187 runs

Top wicket-taker so far: Hasan Ali – 10 wickets

5. Hyderabad Kingsmen:

The Hyderabad Kingsmen have made a remarkable turnaround in their campaign so far winning three matches back-to-back and jumping to fourth for once after losing their first four games. Glenn Maxwell’s addition has brought balance to the side and coincided with a shift in results, while Hassan Khan, Marnus Labuschagne and Hunain Shah have earned player of the match awards in the three wins so far.

They now face the steep challenge of beating second and third placed Islamabad United and Multan Sultans, while they will be up against Rawalpindiz in their last league match. Wins in these three matches will give them a maximum of 12 points, which could still turn out to be precarious if they don’t maintain a better net run rate.

Upcoming fixtures: v MS on 22 April, v IU on 24 April, v RP on 26 April (afternoon game)

Top run scorer so far: Marnus Labuschagne – 203 runs

Top wicket-taker so far: Mohammad Ali – 9 wickets

4. Quetta Gladiators:

The Saud Shakeel-led outfit enjoy the fourth place currently after net run rate boosting 40-run win over Kingsmen and a 61-run win over Rawalpindiz. On Friday night, they put on complete all-round performance, dismantling the defending champions with pace, spin and a century stand.

The contest against red-hot Peshawar will determine if the last year’s losing finalists can stand the pressures of the business end of the tournament. Whether they get over the line or not in that game, they will have a chance to spoil Lahore and Karachi’s prospects of going ahead by winning those games. If they manage to win all three, it will put them in good stead for cementing the fourth position.

Upcoming fixtures: v PZ on 19 April, v LQ on 21 April (afternoon game), v KK on 25 April (afternoon game)

Top run scorer so far: Hasan Nawaz - 283 runs

Top wicket-taker (s) so far: Usman Tariq, Abrar Ahmed and Alzarri Joseph (7 wickets each)

3. Multan Sultans:

Multan Sultans have lost to Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi so far while having beaten Islamabad, Hyderabad, Quetta and Rawalpindiz. Their only game in Karachi so far yielded a 24-run defeat against Peshawar, where they lost their top five to Sufyan Moqim and Iftikhar Ahmed. Their next three games are in a space of four days before they face Islamabad in the last game on 26 April.

They have the chance to lay to rest Karachi Kings’ chances, hand Rawalpindiz second head-to-head loss and spoil Hyderabad’s campaign as well. If they win all these games then they will be in a strong position in terms of points before their last game against a strong United outfit.

Defeats in the first two of the four remaining matches could open competition for playoffs slots and make the table more interesting.

Upcoming fixtures: v KK on 19 April (afternoon game), v RP on 21 April, v HK on 22 April, v IU on 26 April

Top run scorer so far: Sahibzada Farhan – 249 runs

Top wicket-taker (s) so far: Mohammad Nawaz and Peter Siddle (6 wickets each)

2. Islamabad United:

Second-placed Islamabad United have won all their four matches while chasing. They lost their opening game against Multan Sultans and on 12 April they faced a setback against Hyderabad Kingsmen. They beat Karachi Kings to come back to winning ways on 16 April. Shadab’s team will be eager to enter their nine points so far to double figure mark with a win over Rawalpindiz in the Twin-cities Derby on 23 April.

Islamabad United will have to surmount the Hyderabad and Multan challenge in their remaining two games. Two losses in the three last games can also put them in danger of falling off the cliff.

Upcoming fixtures: v RP on 23 April (afternoon game), v HK on 24 April, v MS on 26 April

Top run scorer so far: Sameer Minhas – 265 runs

Top wicket-taker so far: Shadab Khan – 9 wickets

1. Peshawar Zalmi

The only unbeaten team in the HBL PSL 11 was confirmed to have qualified for the playoffs after Lahore Qalandars lost to Quetta Gladiators on Friday night. Zalmi have been clinical in their six completed matches with only Hyderabad Kingsmen threatening to beat them in a last-ball thriller on 8 April. In the next game, Zalmi flexed their muscle with the largest ever winning margin in HBL PSL’s history – 159 – against Karachi Kings.

Zalmi have 13 points to their name and will face Quetta, Karachi and Lahore in their last three matches. All three oppositions are fighting for a fourth-place finish and can prove their worth by beating the title contenders Zalmi. Meanwhile, their potent weapon Nahid Rana, who picked up 7-76 in his 14 overs across four matches is no longer available.

Sufyan Moqim, though, is in elite bowling form and has become the first Pakistan bowler to take three or more wickets in five consecutive T20s.

Upcoming fixtures: v QG on 19 April, v KK on 22 April (Afternoon game), v LQ on 25 April.

Top run scorer (s) so far: Kusal Mendis (330 runs) and (Babar Azam (301 runs)

Top wicket-taker so far: Sufyan Moqim (16 wickets)

Bobby's Zalmi will lift the trophy and you will find me here as tullar Farhan's team fails yet again @TheSultan @RedwoodOriginal hope you are ready.
Lol at tagging @RedwoodOriginal and myself in every post. There are plenty of people that concur with our opinion on little Bobby!

And it’s not as if brother redwood and myself agree on everything either. We’ve had a lot of disagreements esp on Azhar Ali etc

And personally I am no big fan of Farhan either. But his six hitting at the top to the order is a breath of fresh air compared to the little weaklings in rizbar. Honestly those two are an embarrassment to our history. Proper little weeds

And I might add, the real inheritors of the opening slot will eventually be Maaz and Sameer. Coupled with Hassan Nawaz in the middle order we could have a powerful batting line up in the short form of the game as long as weaklings don’t hold us hostage for another decade

Exactly. I don't recall you or me ever saying that Farhan was the greatest thing since sliced bread, or even that he was one of the best T20 batters in the world. He has alot to prove but compared to a 120 SR snail like Babar he is a MASSIVE upgrade, and without a doubt the best batter in this otherwise sorry looking Pakistan T20 side. But @RizwanT20Champ needs to create these narratives to draw an equivalency between his hero worship for Boobzy the King and us saying that Farhan is the best batsman Pakistan has in T20 right now.
But then again this is the same guy who compared Babar to Novak Djokovic, so how seriously can we really take him?:afridi1

And I might add, the real inheritors of the opening slot will eventually be Maaz and Sameer. Coupled with Hassan Nawaz in the middle order we could have a powerful batting line up in the short form of the game as long as weaklings don’t hold us hostage for another decade
Shouldn't take anything away from Farhan either though. Unlike a certain fraud who gets by on his name and reputation, Farhan has actually worked hard on his game, and in the gym and has been a prolific six-hitter in T20 cricket in the past year. Just goes to show what a difference hard work and determination can make. At this point it is a proven fact that working hard in the gym has a big impact on your ability to hit sixes. Even Steve Smith is working hard in the gym trying to bulk up so he can represent Australia in the Olympics. Meanwhile Boobzy the 𝙺̶𝚒̶𝚗̶𝚐̶ Emperor has the physique of a polio patient... still relying on aesthetically pleasing cover drives that find the fielder and give his team ZERO runs. But hey, as long as we get them TikTok reels, who cares, right? :babar

Come out of babar bashing everywhere. The thread is about who will win the trophy... Why are we discussing an individual player here? this is not a comparison thread...

Maaz and Minhas are definitely the future. Farhan is a minnow basher and even in this PSL he failed virtualy every time the target was over 170. The one big innings where he got a 100, he struck at less than the RRR and needed others to bail out the team. Yes he hits chikkay but his overall SR vs big teams is worse than previous openers.

PP will need extra bandwidth when Zalmi wins and Sultans get booted out. It will be sweet justice.

Farhan strike rate is 180 in this years PSL over 40 points higher than Bobby :angelo would love to see Multan vs Peshawar in Playoffs.
Tullar failed every time target was more than 170 and when he hit his 100 in the 220 chase it was less than the RRR. Farhan cannot even dream of 140 SR against SENAI.

Guarantee Mutan will not win
Farhan's teams never win anything. Bloke stunk up the BPL final as well.

PSL 11 stats pack after 29 matches

•The official nomenclature of the league is HBL PSL; Media houses are advised to use the correct nomenclature in all texts, headlines and bulletins

Karachi, 20 April 2026:

A total of 29 matches have been played in the HBL Pakistan Super League 11 with Peshawar Zalmi becoming the first team to seal the playoffs ticket and Rawalpindiz are out of the race. The action is set to be split between Karachi and Lahore from 21 to 28 April.

Unbeaten Peshawar Zalmi are still placed top of the table with 15 points from eight matches. They are the only other team with fourth-placed Quetta Gladiators to have played eight matches each. All other teams have played seven each.

Multan Sultans have now accumulated 10 points and are placed second, followed by the third-placed Islamabad United, who have nine points. In descending order, Quetta, Hyderabad Kingsmen, Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings are tied on six points each. Eighth-placed Rawalpindiz are yet to win their first game.

Peshawar Zalmi’s trio of Kusal Mendis, Babar Azam and Sufyan Moqim continue to rule the bowling and batting charts after 29 matches. Mendis (413) and Babar (401) also became the first batters to breach the 400-run mark in the tournament.

The Sri Lankan wicketkeeper-batter and Pakistan’s batting maestro are also in sight of Shan Masood and Mohammad Rizwan’s tally of 695 – the highest partnership runs for a pair in a single HBL PSL season. They have currently added together 557 with the help of three century partnerships.

With the Hanif Mohammad Cap lying with Mendis, the coveted Fazal Mahmood Cap is held by Peshawar Zalmi’s left-arm wrist-spinner Sufyan Moqim, who comfortably sits atop the bowling leader board with 17 wickets – four best of Shaheen Shah Afridi.

On Sunday, Hasan Ali pipped Shaheen from the joint-leading wicket-taker position in HBL PSL history by going to 136-wicket mark. The tall left-arm pacer is just one scalp behind and will get a chance to take a lead when the HBL PSL action resumes after Monday’s break at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and National Bank Stadium in Karachi with Tuesday’s double-header.

Only three teams can even be taken seriously. Rest are just there to make up the numbers.

Lahore might fluke their way to play-offs if Fakhar and Shaheen fire, but even their side is full of out-of-form players.
