What's new

Players look demotivated, Captain looks disinterested, and there's simply nothing new!

The title says it all really.

Misbah, the coach, and the majority of the players have let the fans down. Regarding the "leader" of the side [Misbah] The field placings have been nothing short of embarrassing.

Trying the same tried and tested failures. Seeing how poor Shah's been on this tour of the hemisphere, yet they keep playing him, and not only playing him, OVERBOWLING him. So much so he's likely out injured now with a mid-range hamsting injury after complaining of it earlier...

Enough is enough. Azhar Ali deserves credit, but that's about it.

Yasir Shah should be given a long break after this test match, he has bowled a lot of overs in 2016 and he needs time away to work on his bowling weaknesses.

Yasir doesn't really play pyjama cricket so he'll have plenty of time to rest and recuperate before his next international assignment.

Well he would be playing the PSL which is a month and a half away, and that is the definition of pyjama cricket.

He's got a low-grade hamstring strain which is a 2-3 week recovery time. A month and a half is more than enough time to get over this and hopefully get over any back issues he may be suffering from and bowling 4 overs a game in the PSL isn't something to worry about.

He needs to seriously work on developing other tricks and varieties and how he will get wickets in conditions which dont aid spin.

I personally think he has spent a lot of time with Mushtaq Ahmed and Mushie might not have anything else to teach him.

Maybe a camp with Abdul Qadir perhaps? He might have different things to teach him. Afridi credited Qadir a lot for his good bowling form at one time.

The story of all Australian tours since 99.

Australia dominate the first test before we make a too little/too late mini comeback in the second innings that only ameliorates the magnitude of our loss.

We play decent cricket to put ourselves in a strong position in the second test only to bottle up late in the test match to hand them the series.

Third test then, is more of a free fall ride played without any conviction.

Same script every time, just with different characters.....

They only played Yasir in desperation..even though the series was lost , a lot of heads were at stake...Yasir playing only to somehow save those heads like he has done in the past.

Sounds like the same script of every Australia tour since the late 70s under Mushtaq Mohammad who was our last truly successful captain down under.

tell me the need of him playing this match when he has been playing all the games without rest last year and that too being overbowled because he was the only spinner on our overseas tours and we know he bowled plenty of overs..Misbah would simply turn over to him after 6,7 overs..Also he hasn't looked great on NZ,Aus pitches so with series gone he could have simply rested..unless someone was scared to lose his job if the result didn't came in his favor.

I read somewhere that Misbah and co bowled Yasir Shah even though he stated the issue with the strain. He then went on to bowl 10 consecutive overs before finally breaking down.

Ridiculous situation!

Pathetic from Misbah if true. Can't wait to see the back of him. Useless captain.

When even the greats of the game like Pointing, Lara, Sachin didn't play till the ripe old age of 42 we are playing a mediocre batsman at best, till that age, on the pretext of continuity

I truly hope this is Misbah's last match as captain, then we can finally move on and enter the 21st century and get rid of this archaic mentality and style of play.

Misbah's disregard for youngsters is also one of the reasons why we are in this pathetic situation. When was the last time a young pacer debuted under Misbah?

Misbah even dropped guys like Babar Azam, Umar Amin and Kamraan Ghulam from his PSL side after one or two matches. If you are under 30 and Misbah is your captain then you can kiss your career good bye.

What are the selectors there for then? To make lassi?
